Post subject:  Bernstein Quote of the Year

Penguin just said what may be the quote of the year in "I don't have worries about the Trestman coached offense." Yet moments later, he expressed concerns about the wide receivers dropping balls. This is typical Benstein doublespeak, where he constantly says two contradictory things while maintaining they are both true. What game was he watching? The offense was hardly better than the defense against Seattle. Cutler had his usual bad mechanics, resulting in wobbly balls, and of course, he threw one of his famous red zone interceptions, and then laughed it off afterward. Marshall showed his usual dropitis, letting a pass bounce off his hands while he was open and unchallenged over the middle. I guess he is thinking about his career after football, his tv commentator gig, which will have him fly out on his day off and return jet lagged mid week. And instead of making the decision himself as a head coach should, Trestman left it to Marshall to decide what's best for the organization. Good one there. Can you imagine Ditka letting him do that? And where was the running game? The Bears were guilty again of underutilizing their best offensive player in Forte by giving him just three carries, yet Trestman constantly preaches about how they want to better use Forte. No, the Trestman offense isn't confidence inspiring when it's so one dimensional and has a guy at the helm who's won just one playoff game in five years. Before being annointed MVP of the league, maybe Cutler should start by beating the Packers first.

Come the quote of the year show, I'm voting for you Penguin.

I think it's due to his squat hunchbacked appearance, particularly in a tux, when he appears to have a similar appearance to a penguin.

The penguin thing is funny. I am curious as to who all these new posters are with such strong opinions?

Also, I think he has mentioned in passing that he has a gland located above his right eye that filters salt from his bloodstream.
