Twitter seems to be losing their shit about some kid the Cubs hired from Baseball Prospectus to be a scout.

I imagine we're going to hear just how brilliant this move was.

Yeah, this same thing is going on the NHL, where everyone is geeking out over the Oilers hiring some bloggers.

Leary days might be maxed. His wonderful contracts that he signs that allow them to make him sub for whomever they want and then not pay him anymore money.

Great contract Leary!

"Yeah, Leary gonna need you to come in Wed for terry and Thursday for Spiegs" Mitch

"But, I had me a dentist appointment and a comic book convention, and what about my show at night?" Leary

"Well, your contract says we can use you at anytime, without any addtional money and in order to give Joe O his insurance benefits we need to give him some time, so in the long run your contract doesnt cost us anymore money and we dont need to give Rozner a $500 check for sitting in, it's why we re-signed you, don't you know that?" Mitch

"OK, I guess, I will come in" leary

marijuana is not addictive. destroying your career and losing millions of dollars is not evidence of an addictive habit.

Jaon Parks.
Great Twitter follow but I assume that will change.
He's appears to like baseball just ahead of getting drunk so I like the hire.

Speculating about what the NFL's new domestic abuse policy may or may not cover is great radio.

PTFB.

Then you're a bad person. This is a story that needs to be told. If you don't care about domestic abuse policies, you're probably a domestic abuser yourself. Tell me, Tad Queasy, when did you stop beating your wife?

I don't see a big deal about hiring scouts for site or bloggers. There have been a ton of people who got front office jobs over the years due to their fathers working in the business. Many unqualified people have run teams or have been scouts. There is a very good chance people who write about this stuff would not be any worse.

Watershed moment. Big boy moment for NFL. I am not saying they do not have the right to punish this stuff or more specifically minor things that everyday people get caught up in but... Anyone else tired of hearing all this real life stuff being so important and beat to death because they are athletes?

If this goes on much longer, Big Voice Guy's gonna have to cut a promo.

NFL FOOTBALL PLAYERS HAVE A NEW VIOLENCE POLICY, AND WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO BEAT THEIR WIVES! WAY TO GO, COMMISSIONER GOODELL! KEEP IT HERE AS WE BREAK DOWN EVERY SUBSECTION OF THE DOCUMENT ON 670 THE SCORE.

The biggest challenge Parks is going to face is he has to start making his own decisions. No more texting or emailing a scout from his home office to get a report on a player. He has to get off his butt to see a player, understand what he's looking at, form his own opinion and be able to argue that opinion. Good luck.

That's the 2nd time I've heard Dan talking about Soler's body and I've only caught about 15 minutes so far.

Thankfully Eldon Ham is going to be on later so I can fall asleep.

I understand why this news is important, but I don't find it the least bit interesting, let alone require an entire show to discuss.

Then again, it's better than listening to an entire show of licking cubs sack.
This is one of the major problems with this show.

One topic, unless it is a Bears game and it is the day of or the day after, should be 80% of the show.

What the hell is Dan talking about?

He wants people to "prove their innocence" because that's how our system works? What country does he live in?

I think he was talking about the new violence rules in the NFL and all someone needs to do is "prove their innocence" if you are really innocent. That's what our system is based on.

Texts then blew up and he said he misspoke and just meant "win your case".

That was borderline malpractice from Dan Bernstein, Esq.
