That doesn't even make any sense. |

There's also this: Quote: Linemen took turns missing blocks. Brandon Marshall and Martellus Bennett were not open often enough, and Bennett’s lackadaisical blocking effort was noticed on a pass to Forte that could have been a touchdown. |

All he had to say was "obvious" or even "noticeable" and he'd slip right out of the passive voice. Yes, the passive voice would be slipped out of. |

TenFootMidget is all over the cancer thing too. Everybody focuses on the 8%. It's a corporate donation. Even if it's a $3 million corporate donation...that's $3 million. Let's not get too high and mighty. |

I have to admit when some kid got hurt this weekend in a game I was watching and the sideline reporter mentioned that their thoughts and prayers were with the kid getting carted off that I yelled at my screen to SEND MONEY! I fully admit I felt like a dick. |

Ron Santo sideswipes are still funny? (or was there some context from earlier I'm unaware of?) |

I realize that making fun of the words that came out of the mouth of Ron Santo are 'fair game' (ish). However, here's a guy that makes fun of a man (who is dead, btw) using the fact that his leg was amputated as a result of a terrible disease. Seriously, that might be the most callous, awful thing one can do. Should we make fun of Devin Still's daughter's lack of eyebrows? Isn't a physical malady as a result of a disease (one that Dan apparently cares so much about). Seriously - he says dumb shit daily, but he should NEVER get let of the hook for specifically making fun of the fact that a man lost his leg to diabetes (and ultimately lost his life to it). |

Dan and the rest of Team Bernstein have defended making fun of his amputations by saying that he only lost his legs beacuse he drank too much, and that if had been a responsible diabetic, he would have kept his legs. At one point, Dan's JDRF source even said that their board of directors hoped Jay Cutler would become a positive role model for diabetic athletes so they could distance themselves from a bad role model in Ron Santo. So that makes it all okay. |

many people that have the beetus dont need their legs chopped off. Santo had that happen because he didnt take care of himself. |

Spare me the platitudes. Making fun of someone because they lost their leg to a disease is excellent comedic fodder assuming you can do it properly. What Dan shouldn't be let off the hook for is not being funny about it / moving to new material. Lazily calling back to a bit that's many years old and not even related to anything being talked about is just lazy and hacky. |

He also played in the major leagues at a time when disclosing his diabetes would have meant an almost certain retirement. I struggle to begrudge him a less-than-perfect lifestyle. |

Live however you want... just dont complain that your drinking probably led to your legs getting chopped off. |

We're not being paid to draw enough posters to the board to generate ad revenue; we're just all too stupid to find something better to do with our time than post idiot thoughts nobody in our real lives wants expend the energy to pretend to be interested in listening to. |

When they cut my feet off from diabeetus I'm getting rolling casters off some office chair stuck in the bottom of the stumps so I can do the Gumby slide at will. |
