The place kicker probably let him know what was said in the locker room after the game. He has it on his answering machine. |

We make jokes about TB but a guy getting a half mil and can't do the basics for his job is pretty infuriating to me at least. |

Maybe that's why he didn't watch the game - too busy counting his money... I am waiting for Dan to rip Trestman and everyone who believed in him. |

Maybe B&B can mock this. I can't believe whomever runs the Bears FB page put's this out there! It's time for Bears fans to select the top play from Sunday's 27-14 loss against the Dolphins in the latest edition of Bear Down of the Week. http://chgobrs.com/RCRqTo |

That's easy. When the 4th quarter game clock hit 0:00. |

So BernSTINE even argues with his wife in.the.correct.fashion. It's good to wee Mannelly getting more involved during the transition but you can tell he's still a not restrained concerning his dealings with BernSTINE. |

I don't "hate" Dan, like many others on this board, but it's really annoying when he speaks in absolutes and compares high-end athletics to regular professional situations... |

Live, from Halas Hall, it's time for "Whose Fault Is It Anyway?", the press conference where everything is made up and the points don't matter. That's right, the points are like good advice to Brandon Marshall. |

Today on B&B's Breaking Bad, the target is Brandon Marshall, former darling of the B&B show. |

want some rich reading? Go back and look at the January threads of this show in 2013. Pleasant memories. Someone needs to call up and call out the guy who hired Trestman, not Trestman. |

And here we go with Bernstein speculation again and offering his opinion as fact. 'Brandon Marshall is running the team'. Ok, Bernstein knows this how? But because some reporters heard players screaming through a door, it suddenly becomes all about what Bernstein says it is. Other locker rooms have loud guys who scream and the next thing we know, we have Michelle Tafoya on the sidelines talking about that leadership. They just get done, in transition, saying these sort of things happen a lot when teams shit the bed. Sure, they are towing the company line, but Bushrod, Gould, Long, others all said 'hey that stuff happens. Highly competitive guys 10 minutes after they crapped the bed on the field get heated'. No different then guys in bands or whatever. But of course, to Bernstein it's some larger narrative that he wants to believe. |

THEM. THE. TOUGH. QUESTIONS. THEMSELVES. |

So, it's pointless to call Jay Cutler out on his play, but it's not pointless for Dan to call #15 out on his behavior? |

I think its funny that Bernstein needs the smartass 60 year old guy who doesnt watch much these days to get ratings. Not really sure DB appreciates it or is even aware of it. He could get another job and would have a very small crowd of AL's (Quad city and Shitzy)...and wouldnt get listeners, because as crazy as sports talk listeners are, he knows the political and other talk shows have the real authentic nut jobs....I am pretty sure a few of them are here! and danny doesnt want that crew on his ass. |

Makalu G wrote: I don't "hate" Dan, like many others on this board, but it's really annoying when he speaks in absolutes and compares high-end athletics to regular professional situations... Frankly, I don't hate anyone. I just despise people that present opinion as fact and hypocrites. Bernstein is the poster child for both. The reality is that, as much as he thinks he's part of the story, he's not. He's not an athlete. Covering them via a radio show or with a dictaphone doesn't make one part of the inner circle. Professional athletes are different animals. Hell, if you've ever played any sport competitively at any level, you'll understand that things are different - again, the band analogy is similar. People in accounting offices don't scream at each other. People who are gifted athletes playing a competitive violent game do. If the players said 'what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room', then I believe him. They don't like Marshall because he's an attention whore. Ok fine. And Bernstein isn't with his 'look at me, I'm charity guy' or his 5,000 a second tweets about nonsense and his 'inside sources'. Why not discuss a guy like Percy Harvin - who beat up his teammate the night before the Superbowl and apparently has been leading a coup against their franchise QB and also refused to go back into two of their games this season. THAT is a guy that should be worthy of Bernstein's ire. Not a guy who screams in a locker room because he's bad his team is playing like garbage. |

There isn't playbook on 'things you say, things you don't'. I've heard every former player say 'that's locker room stuff. If you knew half the stuff that was discussed in locker rooms'. IIRC, wasn't Tom Brady screaming on the sidelines last year? Wasn't Ben Roethlisberger yelling at Haley on the sideline? I don't play in the NFL. I didn't play in the NFL. Neither did Dan Bernstein. If players and coaches say it's not a big deal, then it's not a big deal. |

Amusing that as the caller was saying he played some Div I DE the loud exhale of contempt was evident, but as soon as he asked not one, but two, actually informed questions they acted like normal adults. |
