How does Gerry Dinardo sound worse on a landline? He sounded like he was on a respirator.

I was busy all afternoon being smart so I missed the start. Are they really doing the Maddon to Cubs show?

What show should they do? The Pennsylvania Rape show? The Domestic Violence Extravaganza? The CTE Compendium? The Veiled Racism Fiesta?

I think I heard Bernstein mention that Maddon, Bochy or....Bob Melvin(?) is so great as to warrant firing virtually any manager to pick up one of them.

Bob Melvin?

dinardos segment is also a terrible bit now. He goes out of his way to say everyone is great, everything looks great for everyone in the big 10, just make sure you eat at his palce when in Bloomington

The Cubs are eerily quiet.

What are they going to say? A formal press release saying they want to dump their coach and go after a better guy?

Bernstein is an idiot. MLB typically doesn't want any moves or anything announced during the World Series. I'm surprised the Maddon news came out when it did.

Yeah, he needs to tone it down a little bit.

When a team isn't that good just say it. This is the year where you can get away with saying it.

Is going to go all "THERE. IS. NO. PLAN. B." with this like he did when he pretended to know what the Cubs' intentions were with Girardi?

Idiot perhaps, but the Dodgers, for example, were fairly quick in squashing any of the 'Maddon to Dodgers' talk.

On BTN, there are plenty of criticisms done. They don't scream "Fire Beckman now!" but they'll say things aren't going well or that X and Y need to improve on the team.

I think I heard Bernstein mention that Maddon, Bochy or....Bob Melvin(?) is so great as to warrant firing virtually any manager to pick up one of them.

Bob Melvin?

I thought managers didn't matter?

Stop tugging at the cape.

You're very quickly spiraling out of control.

What's the problem?

the Cubs should hire a successful businessman, not a career Manager.

I enjoyed Bernstein reprising his role as Ozzie Guillen's PR manager.
