The past 8 minutes or so of them just riffing on the installation of Cupich was as entertaining as you could hope for. It's all downhill from here. |

Are people really that stupid that they still feel some inherent compulsion to completely and actively reject reality and pretend Rose said and/or meant something completely different than he did about the same topic on more than one occasion? |

Did I just hear them say that John Feinstein was fired a moment ago? Because that would be so beautiful if true. |

They played a few of his greatest hits. Just when you think it couldn't get any worse...I'm John Feinstein. |

From the Medieval Latin (c. 16th century) installare, to place in (ecclesiastical) office by seating in an official 'stall' (not unlike the 'cathedra' he sat in during the service) ... you may make your jokes now about him sitting in a 'stall', which I don't think was called that until the latter half of the 20th century (e.g., did you see the Archbishop taking a leak in the stall instead of at the urinal after his installation? That guy's nuts ...). |

Things got worse when Ken Mantell took over, then David Manning. Of course Bronko was also a long-time wrestler, too. He may have been old, but he was believable in that role. (Always loved it when he'd rabbit punch some overbearing heel) |

This is the second day in a row Dan has broken out the "I can't believe a guy with a law degree would ______!" construction in reference to some minor grammatical error. It's like a law degree doesn't even bestow infallibility anymore! |

It's like a law degree doesn't even bestow infallibility anymore! That was classic 'Bernstein takes the joke the wrong way and makes it unfunny' stuff. Speigs with the drop of 'not going to give you a dissertation, Rich', and Bernstein multiple times points out 'he said DESsertation! that's not a word!'. Um, sure, maybe his misspoke. Not that the drop itself was hilarious but the joke wasn't him mispronouncing a word. I guess it is truly funny for Bernstein given how he feels about law degrees. |
