Looks like we are getting the same child abuse show we had a few months ago. Dan with lots of yelling, and Terry repeatedly saying "yep." Guess this will be a music day. |

Just checked in ... heard "givin' him a whoopin'" and went right back to Pandora. Will try again later. |

Dan even blasts callers who agree with him completely. "I'm a Vikings fan and I agree" "WHO CARES" Holy crap. Also, there's this little thing the NFL has to comply with as a private business called the Collective Bargaining Agreement. That is a contract the NFL has made with the players. Private businesses have to be compliant with contract law, last I checked. While karma would certainly dictate that Adrian Peterson would fall into a fiery pit, the CBA and contract law still applies. Want to change how these cases are dealt with? Change the CBA. |

Had to turn it off. Looks like it's going to be wall-to-wall moral outrage today. Increasingly, this is the case everyday. |

The guy was explaining that he feels bad even wearing the jersey. Wasn't clear if he was simply referring to a Vikings jersey, or actually a Peterson jersey; the point could have been clarified, but Dan was too busy shouting "nobody cares." |

Fair enough. Context now understood. Lest it be misunderstood, I'm firmly of the opinion that Dan's penis-osity (penosity?) index is indeed sky-high. This fella seemed to be a rare exception to the rule that someone leading with their fandom as a basis for their having an opinion that counts for something should be shouted down as quickly and thoroughly as possible. |

And of course, Dan does the 'yeah, and some poll that like 75% didn't agree with the penalty' I tried to text in. No response. Dan, isn't it entirely possible that people don't agree with the penalty and/or think it's too harsh AND don't support child beatings or 'whoopins'. People can be disgusted with the actions of Adrian Peterson AND believe in due process. If that due process - via the LEGAL system - did not determine any crime was committed, then we have to live by that. Yes, it's a private business however, the actions weren't done in context of the performance of the job. They were done outside of the confines of the private business' work environment (although that is grey area with athletes and/or public figures). It's simple - should we start down the slippery slope of suspending a person's employment because of actions/behaviors in their personal lives outside of work? I'm sure there are countless cases, but what where does it end? Does the employer fire or suspend an employee because they go and get 20 tattoos of Stewie Griffin? Does the employer fire or suspend the employee because they play in a band with questionable content? Does the employer fire or suspend the employee because they are a swinger and/or like to go to midget orgies? Perhaps the employer suspends or fires the employee because they are a vocal advocate for gay marriage or they are vocally antagonistic to anyone religious as Dan is? The point? It is entirely possible to despise what Adrian Peterson did and hate him as a human being AND not support his employer suspending him when he hasn't been convicted of a crime. I also find it funny that Dan (like he did yesterday) uses it as a diatribe against all things southern and invokes the 'well, a lot people also owned slaves'. Funny though, Dan tries to paint this as some southern redneck thing, when what we are seeing in all of these cases and all of the people defending it is that it is the black community involved. That it is them that is saying it is part of their culture and that's how they were raised. Where is Dan condemning the black culture (particularly southern black culture) as a whole as he so freely does with white southern culture? He routinely paints all southern white folks as backwards racists. Will he now paint all southern black folks as serial child abusers? |

The Thinking Sports Fan's Show. I'm thinking I'd rather hear dick jokes rather than obvious observations about societal ills. In lieu of that, I'm thinking I'll go back to Bill Evans or Paul Desmond on Pandora. |

It's funny because he rails on religious people - particularly Christians - who are all about absolutes and black and white with no grey area, while at the same time, he displays the exact same behavior. |
