Post subject: | Bernstein's inappropriate comment. What was it? |
During Super Bowl week. I think he said Houston. Bernstein claims he was very drunk and said something at the bar in the presence of other Score people that could have and should have got him fired. Drinky had to drag him away before it got worse. Bernstein said Fred Huebner heard it as well. Take your guesses? Or work on getting the info. GO!!!! My guess is it was probably a comment about Mike North. Maybe just tweet Fred Hubner and ask him. What the hell does he care? He might tell. Maybe Da Ma Na knows. So somebody ask him as well. |

He told Julie Swieca that putting his wiener in the gap between her teeth would be good for her in so many ways. |

Spaulding wrote: He should really be nicer to drinky. Yeah. By dragging Bernstein out of the bar drinky saved Bernstein from losing his job. Cuz Bernstein said he was about to double and triple down. Bet drinky would like to have that moment back. I'd have sat back and let him go!!! |

Does this story mesh with Dan Mc Neil's story about almost throwing hammers with Bernstien at a Super Bowl? |

That's it? They wouldn't fire him for that. 1. Who isn't in radio for the money or any job for that matter? 2. Mitch and Zim already know that Bernstein doesn't give a shit about them. Mitch and Zim don't speak to him anyway. Mitch is especially intimidated by Bernstein. Both Mitch and Zim just care about the money that Bernstein makes for them anyway. So...what's the problem? That the obvious truth was spoken? Now, if a lessor, unimportant Score employee said that - say drinky -then, yeah, he'd be fired because he doesn't matter. |

Well, Bernstein said it happened in Houston. Only one Super Bowl has been played in Houston. That was 2004. Bernstein and Boers were doing Middays back then. So...he was more important than drinky when he said it. Granted, wasn't FOTS back then. |

Interesting. Not too much offends Mac. He takes shit from people here. Only thing I can think of is Bernstein got drunk and told Mac that he was the intellectual superior at the Score. The one that raises the bar of sports radio talk and that Mac is a meatball that tries pander to the lowest common denominator. Probably told Mac that he is the lowest common denominator as well. We all know Bernstein thinks that. But would only say it to his peers when drunk. Bernstein strikes me as someone who can't handle his booze. Shame on drinky for not letting this thing escalate. Next time, drinky, when you have a drunk Bernstein in your mist, allow him to hang himself. He'd do that to you if given the chance. |

50/50 shot this is theatre of the mind and there was no too-hot-for-radio comment in the first place. |

Curious Hair wrote: 50/50 shot this is theatre of the mind and there was no too-hot-for-radio comment in the first place. Agree. More likely the socially awkward crowd at the afternoon show thought it was a big deal that was "scandalous" but in reality, most people wouldn't even remember the event if it happened to them. |

Could be. Drinky loves telling stories of Bernstein on the road. He got all excited over the evil thing Bernstein said when telling the story today. Then again, drinky is dim-witted, so what he thought was evil, might have been a nothing. So you guys have a point. |

Dahl used to make fun of Bruce Wolf for being a guy who would get drunk on Bailey's or white Russians. That is how I picture Bernstein. |
