Guessing today, Dan will have sources that some in the top level still want change, some dont. Nothing happens again.

Which at this point is just amazing!!!!!!

Sources: #Bears brass will meet today. Some in power want sweeping change, others still rationalizing status quo. The usual dysfunction.

I don't have any dogs in this fight, but I cannot see how they bring this staff back next year and expect fans not to turn. I thought the tipping point was the coach, OC, and QB ALL saying they wish they had a better run/pass balance, when THEY ARE THE ONES who control that. Then this shit happens. Seriously, I thought my team was a shit show, but these Bears are giving them a run for their money.

Perhaps the story here may be expanding on how any executives could rationalize the status quo in the face of six losses in eight games, a bumbling coach, and an offensive coordinator who talks shit to the media about the expensive quarterback and then cries about it. What the fuck kind of status quo is that.

When Emery was in Kansas City, wasn't there talk of massive paranoia, rooms/phones being bugged, etc.? Maybe that's going on at Halas Hall here and they found out that Kromer was the one who talked.

The problem is that it's perfectly believable that there's dissension among the McClaskeys here, but Dan has done so much hedging on everything he reports that it's nothing new here.

I imagine it was a matter of Biggsy going up to him and saying "I know you were the source and I have backing on it. I will be writing about it tomorrow and I would like comment from you."

I wouldn't trust the Bears to bug their whole facility. They'd either balk at the wiring costs or install it wrong and cause feedback in every room.

I don't know what irritates me more: Dan using his "sources" to say absolutely nothing of consequence, as in this case, or Dan using his sources to validate and present as fact his dumbass opinions, "Bulls Management doesn't like Derrick Rose anymore". Edit: Ooo I forgot one: Dan smugly says exactly what team upper management wants him to say without questioning a bit of it, shouts down / questions the intelligence of anyone who disagrees with any of it. This is usually Cubs "sources". Next segment he gets OUTRAGED! by team reporters chuckling at a funny comment a player or coach made in the locker room because Dan has JOURNALISTIC ETHICS!!!!!

I knew I wouldn't want to sit on the lakeshore for 3+ hours in December even if both teams were in contention I imagine I could go to the game for free if I wanted

If anyone cares/missed it, Kromer is scheduled to yammer c. 1:20pm today. I get the impression between that and being on remote @ the Lamplighter (I think?), no transition talk today. I think I might be starting to sound like SHARK.
