I know Larravie said it first. But then Dan reported the meeting in GB as well. I know he said George was there. George just said "If there was one, I wasn't there."

Why would he lie about that? He wouldn't. The way he said it, you know he was being honest.

I wish somebody would ask about the meeting before the Saints game. Cuz that was all Bernstein. He'd probably say that didn't happen as well.

Look, I'm not gonna bother to do it, but if you go back to the days after that Packers game, you'll hear Bernstein confirming Wayne's story. Where he said he got that info, too.

I'm sure it was written about in threads here, too.

Probably. That's just what he does.

You think Accorsi knows those people? Of course not. Ted and George also said they're not gonna have a guy above the GM. So that was probably made up to push for them cuz they're Dan's friends. They probably asked him to push for them.

Remember, Dan gets good Hawks tickets for free and he wants his kids to get scholarships to Northwestern. So gotta give them something.

So while he might not have initially reported it, it was definitely part of the timeline of his version of the events.

Yes. He's always been using that meeting to tie in with his "exclusive" of the other made up meeting at the Saints game.

Just to make this clear. Bernstein reported that it could be Blunk as President at the beginning of his show.

So he has to come out today and say he was dead wrong.

Accorsi was hired and it was clear the way Teddy was talking yesterday that he was never in jeopardy of not being President. In fact, he came across looking like he was George's boss. He interrupted George to make it clear that Acorrsi will just give him recommendations and that he would be making the call on the GM.

bernstein used the word could... wishy washy on purpose so he can deflect if wrong and claim victory if "reporting" ended up being correct

"Could" was also wrong. Teddy was never in jeopardy. That's clear. There was never a "Could".

Bernstein was just throwing his friends names out there. Maybe at their request. That's all he was doing.

And Blunk? Based on what Big Fan said, Teddy is more qualified than him anyway. At least Teddy worked in the NFL for the Bears before he got the promotion.

Rozner did say he thought those reports of a non sports guy being the new team president were bullshit. Didn't say Bernstein's name, though. I just don't get why Rozner doesn't say that to Bernstein.

They're all scared of him. Much like the Bears are scared of Brandon Marshall. Only plausible answer.
