John Fox is the guy. The Bears are all in with him. Ted Phillips doesn't need to sign off on the move. Nor does Ted Nugent. Seriously, idiots, what about this is so hard to understand? Pace got his man.

Listen to the show and perhaps call in with your Bears questions. Ask Dan how he's doing. He likes that.

Speaking of Golden Age of Coaches - Was Lovie the 2nd best Bears coach (#1 being Ditka) since Halas?...seriously.

Zippy, I have been a Lovie defender for a long time. He was not a great coach, but he was good. The teams played hard for him, and they were always competitive. Even when you thought it was slipping away, the team seemed to find a way to bounce back. I think he was better than Ditka. Ditka had the benefit of an amazing defense, great offensive line, and great running back. Lovie simply had a solid defense and coached turnovers.

I blame Ditka for the first black Bears coach and the first black president.

If the book was thoroughly demonstrated to be almost entirely fabricated, I don't quite see how that statement even remotely applies.

I am listening to ESPN 1000. Sad to say, I miss the Game badly. I refuse to consume B&B.

If it were me I would get something more concrete than Bernsie whispering he's heard/read. Just me though.

Was the book thoroughly demonstrated to be almost entirely fabricated? Or was it just the Jesse Ventura part?

My vague understanding was that pretty much the stuff written about here at home after he got back was close enough to entirely fabricated that it wasn't inappropriate to go ahead and tl;dr it by saying it was all horseshit.

That said, I don't know one way or the other ... thus the "if" at the front of the sentence.

It amazes me, even though it shouldn't, how quickly they shout down anyone who supports keeping Marshall. They love love love to reference his criminal record, too. Remember how over the moon they were for him a year ago?

They totally dismissed his criminal record, locker room horror stories (Hi, I'm Troy McClure!) beating on women etc. etc. and actually used it as a big plus for the Bears organization because it signaled that they finally "got" the need for "big black work-horses" and weren't concerned with past history. What a couple of idiots, how quickly things change.

And, as a MAN who has actually listened a bit this week I was struck by just how totally lost and out of it Terry is. His take on the NBA to MLB and the NFL he really knew next to nothing about anything that was going on. His "thoughts" on the NBA and Atlanta were comical and sad.

The caller calls them out and wants them to say why they think Fox > Shanahan. Terry's reasoning is Shanahan is a plastic-faced bitch. :( Oh yeah, Dan's was "because he is." Very. Smart. Radio.

Whenever I read stuff like this I think back to Dan patting himself on the pack for his role in making Bears' fans smarter.

"The NFL is full of bad guys" I believe was Dan's quote.
