this is the day to ask Dan that question and hear him try to work his way out of a WYC moment.

When the Score King and Joffrey ran into Bryan Bickell while shopping for expired meat did they say hello or just demand an autograph without any small talk?

Jesus, why is Bernstein so intent on portraying Brandon Marshall as an ungovernable, uncontrollable, wang-whipper?

Dan is right because he said a few weeks ago that no matter who is hired as general manager, letting Marshall go is inevitable, it's a McCaskey decision. Dan is right because he said today if Ryan Pace has ultimate power, then it will be up to him.

Mannelly doesn't seem to think so.
Mannely wasn't there for the show in New York, locker room arguments, and Marshall wanting to fight fans on twitter.

Pat is careful to note now that he wasn't with the team this year, and that his 2 cents comes from last year.

He knows plenty of people who were, and if they told him it was an issue he probably would have said as much.

If I were to guess it would not be worth getting involved in for any of those players. You'll hear a lot whenever Marshall is gone.

They couldn't even get Gould to say anything negative after Marshall ripped him in the locker room where all the reporters could hear.

he only provided that caveat after FOTS argued with him about it.... Mannelly wouldn't have volunteered that marshall supportive comment if he had heard there was a problem with brandon this year

i'm of the opinion you give fox a chance to work with marshall this year... none of that crap you list really matters other than the locker room incident but even that didnt sound like it was a big deal that FOTS wants us to think it was

I wouldn't expect him to name names, but he can certainly say whether or not people in the locker room think he's a pain in the ass and a disruptive force or if he's not causing problems.

I'm going to guess that no one has reached out to him about it.

Bernstein has a guy with the Bears like he has a guy with the Cubs who is in the front office who feeds him information they want out there. I don't really understand why people don't think Bernstein is credible here. He has mostly been right when not mixing in his opinion.

Marshall is a problem, and I still think he has played his last game with the Bears. Fox would have to really love him for him to stay.

bernstein has gone out on a ledge breaking new ground 0 times prior to the Marshall narrative.... trestman firing was obvious and anyone could see that coming.... Bernstein never said Phil was fired.... and was wish washy with any reporting on GM status

His marshall comments are the first bear story he is somewhat breaking as it is not obvious that brandon would be cut. what makes the marshall comments so funny to me is that it flies directly in the face of the phillips/ownership wont meddle in football affairs narrative that FOTS is pushing

neither Pace nor Fox has said anything positive about Cutler or Marshall. It wouldn't surprise me if they were both gone.

What makes you say that?
The fact that Robbie Gould, on the radio with them, wouldn't even address it.

Most of the Bears seemed to be simply playing out the string and just trying to get through it. Why call up Mannelly and cause even more issues that are already pretty obvious after Marshall's locker room tirade?

Just because Robbie Gould wouldn't address it on the radio doesn't mean that no one on the else on the team will discuss it off the record. Mannelly can pick up the phone and talk his friends on the team. He doesn't have to sit around and wait for people to contact him.

If Marshall is more trouble than he's worth and the effects of his behavior isn't being blown out of proportion by the media, then I hope they part ways with him. If not, he's worth keeping.

I'm going to call in about this but I'm sure they're going to say that it means something now due to a lack of a dominant east team.

Does Dan have a piece of the back-end on Pitch Perfect?

And that was definitely a "chick flick".
