....laugh at everything that comes out of Abattacola's mouth ? I don't dislike Matt, I just have never found him the least bit funny. It's like Terry wants Matt to be his friend and not rip him like he does on Bernstein.

I think Terry and Matt just like each other so Terry is inclined to laugh at his stuff 'cause they are work buddies. I don't think Terry fears the wrath of Matt.

You may be right. Although, I've had a lot of buddies that weren't funny and I never laughed at their attempts to be humorous.

I think Terry looks at drinky kind of like his 5th son. That's why he's overly kind to him by laughing at his bad jokes and gibberish talk.

Cuz Terry often says Boers' are stupid. That's why Terry takes pity on drinky. Terry sees himself in him.

In fairness, he's kept him employed and with (unfortunate) access to a working radio microphone. That's too much right there if you ask me.

I think Terry is one of those guys who doesn't know how to use his network to the benefit of others. If you ask him to make a call I think he would but I don't think he knows how to actively campaign as he has never done it.

You look at the B and B tree, the longest running show in this town, and it is pretty much non existent. No interns who got their start and rose to fame. No producers out doing great things elsewhere. Nothing

That's because terry has burned more bridges than your n count. he also lives far way, in a little enclave, and tries to keep up the image that he doesn't care about being a big shot, etc ( he and bernstein are two peas in a pod).

terry hates all the national writers - especially those who have written books - guys like Lupica, feinstein, Ryan, the guy from detroit ( Mitch something) - all the guys who have moved beyond sports talk ( not forgetting it - but expanded their writing). Terry doesn't have that skill, looks now at where he is and thinks how did they get past me, so he attacks ( again, eerily familiar to Bernstein).

You mean he hates the guys that ACTUALLY write...and ACTUALLY put in an effort!
