Chris Christie says we need balance in the debate, even though it's pretty clear that vaccines work, and do not cause autism. We don't balance in the debate on whether or not the sun rises in the east, either.

Rand Paul says vaccines are an example of oppressive gov't, and parents should choose because freedom.

Sean Duffy (R-WI) says the issue is an oppressive state telling us what to do. He knows best what morals and values are right for kids, as if this topic has anything to do with morals or values.

This is going to get ugly as more and more people refuse to vaccinate their children. Reading a couple of crackpot websites that bend to your beliefs isn't "doing research".

I wonder if the measels "outbreaks" are located in areas where all those illegal immigrant children were "repatriated" to.

Can we be certain they had all their shots before being introduced to those towns and schools?

I have thought extensively about this issue. Obviously, you are an idiot to not get these vaccines, but I sure hate the government mandate. The government is already trying to make noise about health issues on what we should consume from banning happy meals, changing children's school lunch offering, and limiting drink portion sizes. The obesity epidemic that costs Medicare/Medicaid billions is going to put pressure on them regulating diet where ever they can. I hate going down this path.

Oh, so here we stand on that tricky balance of externalities where that cost of an activity is borne by all.
