Time for the annual "signing day is bad" show! From the same guys that think the NBA draft should allow high school seniors to declare and be talked about and dissected nonstop! Oh, but today they are "children". For the record, signing day is bad. |

Someone needs to engage in some deep thinking about how and why Bernstein has postured himself as some type of protector of children. It would appear that he doth protest too much. I wouldn't let him near my children. |

National Signing Day makes Terry feel "uncomfortable". After all of the things I've heard this weirdo say, this day makes him uncomfortable????? Or is he just agreeing with that c*nt Bernsie? |

Les's "shame on you" quote was even better than Bush's. I don't know what it is about that quote that flummoxes the non compos mentis but it continues to produce. |

I don't think the distinction is that big. We celebrate and watch the MLB draft too where most of those players get less than your average big conference college football recruit. Were Dylan Cease and Carlos Sands also "children" being exploited? |

The recruit gets literally nothing (legally, anyway). In the baseball draft part of the discussion is the bonus pool money. As in, money. |

I think they deserve more than they get but they do not get "literally nothing".Most of the players in the MLB draft get LESS than what the average college football recruit is given especially if you consider that all of these guys will get the increased scholarships with "cost of living" adjustments that will be more than the salaries of all but the highest levels of minor league baseball. |

Most of the players in the MLB draft get extremely little attention compared to signing day. What's even comparable, the first round only? Either way, they're professionals. It's a pretty distinct difference. And how is 'getting a scholarship' equal to getting a salary? |

MLB draftees get college paid for along with their signing bonus. It's called the MLB Scholarship Program. |

Can we get a objective view. I have one post saying Beckman wrecked B&B and a thread saying Bernstein wrecked Beckman. I'm assuming whatever happened the listener lost. |

This is where Bernstein comes off as dumb as Beckman. GPA does matter. You want both. Since he mentioned Urban Meyer and GPA. http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/051412aaa.html |
