I always thought it was weird that he's such a HUGE proponent of summer camps when it seems like there would be numerous opportunities for hazing, bullying, and abuse to take place at them.

I used to love that show (and Spectreman, Space Giants, and Battle of the Planets) when I was a kid

Northstar is the feelings camp. Not even joking about it.

When my sister evaluated the camps, she felt northstar provided a more balanced and less competitive environment than the other places.

They have the wishing sticks, when you write your wish on a stick and throw it into the bonfire.

There are a number of other camps that play each other, yes, just like meatballs (Where do you think Murray got the ideas!). As a 9,10 and 11 year old it is intense to be awoke at midnight, rushed out to a bonfire, given a jersey in a line you run down and chant some hatred of the oher kids camp! Have to say, loved it.
