Today's pre-poker tournament show will be unlike anything you've ever heard before. And by "unlike" I mean "exactly like" what you hear for 5 hours every weekday. There will be pimping of Dan's poker event (ONLY 22 SPOTS LEFT!!!) and if you're lucky, a few minutes of actual sports talk! Speaking of Dan's poker event, I see it's sponsored by David Hochberg at Townstone Financial. If there is one thing I look for in a financial advisor, it's a guy who's involved in gambling events. Listen to this show so we can cure cancer. |

There will be no curing of cancer because the money goes to send kids to camp instead of trying to find a cure. Isn't that kind of like spending money on a billboard? |

Nope, David is just a licensed mortgage broker. He does not show up on Finra or the SEC as a securities broker or financial adviser. |

I second that RPB. I love Vegas and gambling as purely entertainment. Lots of smart finance/math (quants mainly) have become awesome Hold Em players. And much of the action in the stock market is pure gambling, especially derivatives. I love option plays. |

I don't understand why it isn't clear to all involved that there just isn't a ton of interest in buying spots in the tournament else he wouldn't need to constantly sell it. |

Yeah, the other day Dan went out of his way to stress that Childrens Oncology Services, despite the name, is NOT a research or treatment organization, and that it essentially only funds camps for kids with cancer. I give him credit for being honest about it. |

I have to give it to Spiegel. He ended transition with multiple sighs and said, "I don't think I could continue transition listening to your disdain for your listeners." At least Spiegel knows listeners are there for a reason. I mean I agree that a lot of the callers are awful, some probably trolling. In fact my favorite part is when they don't take calls and just talk. I felt the same way listening to Howard Stern. |

If you care at all about t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶J̶a̶c̶k̶i̶e̶ ̶R̶o̶b̶i̶n̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶W̶e̶s̶t̶ ̶L̶i̶t̶t̶l̶e̶ ̶L̶e̶a̶g̶u̶e̶ ̶t̶e̶a̶m̶ kids with cancer, don’t c̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶c̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ send them to summer camp. These are not c̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ kids who need to be distracted from their cancer diagnoses by paddling a canoe. To say otherwise is a disservice to these kids, and they’ve already been handed a disservice big enough to last a lifetime. Tell them the truth, and don’t sugarcoat a bit of it. |
