Out of town stupid, specifically, for being excited over the Jets landing B-Marsh. If you'll recall, Dan and Terry both hated the addition of Marshall from the start. They always knew he was a bad guy and wanted him gone as soon as the Bears got him.

Crowing about how right they were on Marshall being gone too.

I am afraid that even I would pass out in a couple hours if the drinking game was take a shot every time Terry lets out a oh my God, for the love of God or dear lord.

Dan: This is NEW coming in from MY source. Terry and I have separate sources. It really isn't news but it's (Jay Cutler trade talk) become more active now. If they get a “reasonable return,” they will move him.

Thanks Dan. I didn't know the phones would be "more active now" the day before Cutler's 10 million guarantee. I learn so much.

Isn't any trade based on whether you get a reasonable return?

(i am no cap guru, so correct me as needed)

cutler costs $16.5 M against cap for 2015... so realistically only a team with at least $20-25M available is going to consider trading for him (unless teams are swapping bad deals for bad deals like the Ene-be-a)

http://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space/

Teams with at least $20m cap space are:

Seahawks - no
Redskins - probably not
chargers - no
bengals - no
packers - no
falcons - no
bucs - potential but all signs point to jameis and lovie already knows first hand what a loser jay is
colts - no
eagles - seems unlikely
jets - need a qb, reportedly not interested
titans - need a QB and vandy history

browns - have mcowan so hey are set at QB and have manziel
raiders - like derek carr so no
jags - bortles, so no

so unless you can get jets and titans in bidding war trading cutler seems unlikely... more likely he gets cut or stays this year at least

so can callers tell Dan 'IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HAPPENS WITH CUTLER, THINK BIG PICTURE'?

the idea that this show is now about Dan trying to impress with how many sources he has when he's not even a fucking reporter is a real bummer. Like, entertain the people, that's your job.

It's obvious to me this show is not catered to us hard cores. They know they have us listening. They are targeting the casual idiot that won't hold them to anything.

Not at all. I'd rather have Dez because he's 4 years younger but this show completely disregards Brandon playing through a bum ankle the entire year and missing the last four games due to his fractured ribs and injured lung.

exactly, he had a High ankle sprain which lingers for weeks, if he doesnt miss the last 4 games he has another 1000 yard season.... they can rip on marshall for being a penis.... but ripping his production based on one injury plagued season is short sighted

Dan praising the 'Hawks for toning the Ice Girls' whoredness. Coming up next, Dan will spend five minutes analyzing Kate Upton's tits.

sounded to me at some point today like they were intimating a Sharp/Ice Girl affair and that there was a VD involved. Didn't say anything near that obvious but beat around the bush (so to speak).

Earlier I heard Dan & Terry both agree with the notion that it is a great idea to get rid of Forte this year as he's in the last year of his contract & old for a RB. I immediately remembered a caller about 2 weeks ago (if that) holding that same position and Bernstein ridiculed the caller.

I think Dan's points then were: 1) You still have to field a team; 2) He's a good locker room guy; 3) He doesn't count against the cap (much); 4) That there is no need to completely blow the entire team up. Almost all of which contradict his position earlier today as the PR flack @the Score.

For many years, I have been saying that fans of the Jets are idiots. This is a great thread.

Probably so, but not for the hypocrisy spewed by Dan.

Once again, we agree. I mean who in the hell is stupid enough to actively root for a team that hasn't won anything since 1969?

Oh wait...sorry NL local team fans.

I think that is what he wanted. Maybe he sees the death of radio and is gunning for Kornheiser's spot after all.

I listen only sporadically between breaks in the Stern show in the car. Had the thing for almost two weeks and I still haven't programmed a single sports radio station. Go figure.

And I agree with the 5'4" estimate. My mother's a little over 5'5" and I know she's taller than Bernstein.

too bad bernstein yelling down a caller happens all too often otherwise it would have stuck out more and you could DL the podcast to confirm... would be a quick 180 on that stance

I dont blame Jets fans for being excited about signing Marshall after the shit show that the Jets offense and WR's have been recently.
