Unless the Bulls sign L James they will never win a ring as long as the King is lacing em up. Jimmy Buckets will sign with the Bulls unless

i heard M&H talking about butler's decision. For me it's easy, I'd take the cash now and lock in $100M... especially if derrick's bad luck is contagious

I thought they had been in basketball hell since even before Lebron's first championship? But as recently as a last week they had a good look at the finals. Now they're in basketball hell again?

If you can move in and out with relative ease then you're not in hell. You're just mediocre with bad luck.

Was somebody listening to the stream?

What did that guy say to get cut off? He wanted to talk about B&B's feud with Hawk.

Jimmy turned down 4 years/48 million before this season. There's no way he doubles down this summer. If he does, it makes next summer much more interesting, especially with Joakim off the books.

Notable 2016 free agents: Dwight Howard, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant

Kobe will be 38 that year. I don't want that. Nor do I want Howard. Durant? Yeah. Give me him.

I caught a little bit of it today and it appears that they are making the same tired argument. Bulls have no chance as long as they have to play Lebron. They love Hoiberg and are in favor of hiring him. They love him until he actually becomes the coach. Butler can't really guard LeBron no one can yet until last night he'd shot 38% from the field with Butler guarding him. It's the same tired drumbeat. When Cleveland loses it will be because the other players are not good Irving included.

Bernstein king of the phrase basketball stupid actually predicted that Atlanta will come out of the East. They are the weakest of the four remaining teams in the East. It's increasingly difficult to take what he says seriously when he makes statements like this. If Wall is not injured they probably would already have been dispatched.

it all depends on the last game played

Is part of their argument that he, as a former player, will understand minute restrictions and relate to players better? Because I seem to remember former player Scott Skiles overplaying guys and being a dick to them.

I heard them say that he is an innovative offensive coach. I didn't hear much else but they signed off on the hire with their standard "I would be OK with hiring Hoiberg" I always infer that to mean they love whomever it is that they are OK with.

I seem to remember that they really loved Skiles too. Especially Bernstein. He was a big time Skiles supporter.

This bugs and confuses me. They even had a caller today that said he didn't want a college coach but like a Pop assistant a proven NBA guy. They were like meh. I seem to have it in my mind that in the past they were not big fans of college coaches coming to the NBA even if they played. Maybe not?

Bulls should hire Alford just to fuck with them.

I heard their Ten Seconds Of Glory Hole thing today was "how should Tom Thibodeau update his resume this summer?" or something. They weren't this gleeful to get rid of Ozzie Guillen, who actually delivered serious losing seasons.

They used to be adamant that college coaches couldn't make the jump because they couldn't coach "real" basketball. I think the only exception they maybe allowed for was Tom Izzo. But now that GarPax has another Iowa State mancrush, all bets are off.

I remember them being Anti college coach also. They really are shills for management. While talking about Hoiberg Boers stated that he wasn't really familiar with Hoiberg. Bernstein states that he is am innovative offensive coach then Boers immediately states that he would be OK with Hoiberg. How can that be the case? He'd just stated that he wasn't all that familiar with him. Boers has really become incoherent in his old age.

And what if they don't have anyone who can score? You know.....the same problem they've had forever.

I hope if Thibs leaves he wins a ring just to shove it up Johnny Jump Shot's ass.

They have guys that can score. Thibs hinders the offense. Webber repeatedly harped on the scoring droughts. Sam Smith has, talked about Thibs need to call every offensive play. People are becoming increasingly critical of the Bulls and their style of play.

The other odd thing from Bernsie during the discussion today was how long Hoiberg was with the Bulls. Someone said, maybe Drinky, that it was four years. Bernsie went from no way to flabbergasted in a few seconds. The expert didn't even know how long Fred played here.

Thibs is hindering players from making shots?

The four years he spent here were when the Bulls had pretty much ceased to exist. I can't believe Ron Artest was here for three years.

I would be a little surprised if Hoiberg went to the NBA now. He just had another heart surgery like 3 weeks ago and still has middle-school aged kids (twins). Most logical thing would be to wait for the kids to start college, though his parents still live in Ames and there is plenty of support. It seems pretty likely that the NBA interest will only intensify from year to year.

His play calling and sets are hindering the offense. The Noah dribble hand off at the top of the key does nothing and every possession ends with the shot clock expiring and Rose or Butler going one on one. I get that Thibs yells and screams which fans like. His teams play solid defense. His teams have also over achieved in yrs past.

His team this yr under achieved however. This was a 55 win team even with the injuries. They repeatedly lost to inferior teams. That is why they won 50 games instead of 55-57 games.

We will agree to disagree.

I don't know for sure if Thibs should go but it seems to me it is harder for a coach to teach team tenacious defense then to shoot a ball in a hoop. Maybe he needs help on playing time and stuff but I would bet Hoiberg is not better.

Why is the offense standing around like statues in the 4th quarter though? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28FEXixvDII

wow hoiberg seems like a real person not a android satan robot. he would be good for the bulls, maybe derrick will develop a vocabulary under his watch.

as much as i like thibs, i think the cavs are proving a point... the coach doesnt fucking matter in the nba. we always say it, stars win.

Hoiberg seems to be Paxson's white whale in the same way Tim Floyd was Jerry Krause's. The main difference being that Phil was a backstabbing sonuvabitch who never appreciated that without Jerry Krause he would still have been driving a bus for the Albany Patroons and Thibs just wants to be left alone to do the job he does very well.
