Post subject:  6/8: White basketball is back, saving the king
While LeBron James put up miss after miss in the closing moments of last night's game, there was a gritty, bearded, white guard causing havoc on both ends. Some would say he was the best player on the floor last night.

this is why you watch sports. So that the undertalented can show their heart and passion to influence a big. boy. game.

I hope everyone calls in with this bad thought. Or just says boobs.

Then let me know if it's worth listening to. Instead I'll get probably just as far as that point in transition where Dan disingenuously wonders how anyone could 'hate' LeBron, sitting next to TB who hates a lot of things for no real reason, and next to Spiegel who'll whine about his own insecurities in having a different opinion than Bernstein, and Goff who just had another whippit.

whatever. this cavs team never gets to the playoffs without lebron, and if steven curry decided to choke on only 46 dicks instead of 47 the warriors would have won.

I did get a true appreciation from last night's game that if Lebron takes every shot down the stretch that the Cavs will get enough offensive rebounds to beat a Warriors team that misses every shot.

One day I'm going to tell my grandkids about that game.



Maybe I'll call them now. They were probably playing Xbox.

LeBron so far sure plays well in regulation.

LeBron so far sure plays bad in overtime.

This much I know. And I've always been low on Curry...as I said in another thread, this "bag of bums" thing is ridiculous...this Cavs team is built to complement LeBron. And that is what they are doing.

You can tell in that picture that Lebron is annoyed with that screaming, bearded white. Caption should be "Get off me, cracker!!!" Wait. Can an Ausie be a cracker?

The warriors are going to win the series.. I've never been a huge fan of James..I hated the "decision" and the flopping and crying to refs. I do think he's an all time great player ..top 10 all time, he makes his teammates better . he may end up top 5 when he's done. Kobe is not a top 10 player all time ..

Once again, top ten and top five lists are done. Every year some desrving all time great players are kicked to the curb for the latest greatest. For chrissakes no one even mentions Chamberlain anymore.

It's a different game and a different world. They both contribute to produce different players and different human beings and to me they are simply not as impressive as the guys I grew up watching.

And I'm just never going to be a fan of physical freaks. I cannot describe the level of indifference I had to Shaq. That guy might as well not have existed in my world.

When it looks effortless, how is that entertaining?

I agree with ya on early shaq, he had no post moves ..just stick his huge ass out n back down anyone n dunk. He did improve from those early years though . It Was a better game back then IMO... Better defense more physical . people get upset when I say this ... Boxers from 30-40 years ago would beat the shit out of today's boxers ...some eras are just far superior than others.


Olajuwan is the best center in history IMO.

What is Bernstein talking about? Nobody bets on hockey so injury info doesn't matter.

True, they don't bet at the volume they do the NFL, but people bet on hockey and those people want the info. I bet the Hawks for the series.

Please don't tell me your love for a certain 5'8 AND A HALF radio host is EVEN DEEPER than his for a certain big black wang whipper gentlemen. :roll: "Dutifully" is a bit strong...though at least I am commenting on things that ACTUALLY are said and not imaginary radio.

I will openly admit to having an interest in car accidents when I happen to pass them.

My Bernstein batteries were recharged after his twitter cockup. They are pretty much on zero after the last little while. And so the cycle of having 670 on in the background because radio in Chicago sucks in general, until the 670 lineup mentally exhausts me (with Dan accounting for 99% of that), will continue.
