By Dan Bernstein–
CBSChicago.com senior columnist

(CBS) Reviews of Amy Schumer’s movie “Trainwreck” are coming in fast, and they’re good — RottenTomatoes.com currently has the composite review calculated at a robust 90 percent.

LeBron James plays a version of himself in the ribald rom-com, a performance also mostly praised for its comic timing and subtlety beyond those from other star athletes. It’s not a high bar to clear but is notable for such a polarizing and sizable personality.

Once one of the most disliked figures in sports, James earned some fans back both with his return to Cleveland and his one-man effort to carry the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals this spring. Now he adds his role in a popular movie to that tailwind of positive vibes, with his own work standing for itself beyond mere presence on the coattails of Schumer and director Judd Apatow.

James has always been good at rebounding, and this may be his best yet.

I'll give Dan a break on this one because it's a "Bernstein Brief". If I were forced to churn out an article each day by my corporate overlords they'd likely read just a bad and disinterested as Dan's.

And I know it's been mentioned countless times here but CBS really, really, really needs to overhaul their website. If the point of these "Bernstein Briefs" is to stimulate a social media presence/response they need to come from a website that doesn't give you cancer when you look at it.

They'd be better off with Larz' site. Yeah, it's that bad.

I'll be suing CBS for their site giving me cancer and while using the same firm that is representing those suing MLB for FOUL BALLS and BATS for those that obviously don't understand the game.

...on another note...congrats to Dan for having something else to RUB ONE OUT TO LEBRON over...I only hope he waits for video to avoid his "Pee Wee Moment".

he had similar thoughts on Tuesday(?)'s tranny. About how this can just seal the deal of LeBron being likeable again.

I don't know why that's such a concern to him, and also why it's so fucking confusing why people don't like him. Even now, he's simply acting, so you could twist it to say it'd only remind people of the douchey histrionics he does on the court.

Also this is Chicago and he plays for the team that's the city team's biggest rival. That's why he's hated! What the fuck!

I like how every time the site gets redesigned it's somehow worse than the previous version. I think my favorite version of the Score website was when it had Boers and North videos popping up on the screen to try to sell me something.

He's so good at it, he wasn't even in the top 60 in the league in rebounds per game.

What a maroon.

You're not allowed to hate superstars from other teams in the NBA. You just clap politely and behold.

Tribalist.

I'm guessing it's this ...

http://www.si.com/college-football/2015/07/16/hugh-freeze-ole-miss-football-mississippi-flag

In short, Dan's asking what "heritage" MS people have to be proud of ... which honestly off the top of my head seems a rather valid question.

Not listening but I assume it's them pretending that they haven't made fun of "Bruce" Jenner in the past or blaming Tebow for 9-11.
