I have been monitoring threads and noticed many of you have been critical of Terry Boers. Over the last few weeks, I decided to listen to 670's giggle-fest and cannot believe how bad this show has become.

T. Boers is the reason. I have never heard anybody say so many words without saying anything. It seems he starts sentences without knowing how he's going to finish them. His hard hitting sports thoughts are repeated by saying "if you look around..." .... "in the old country" .... or the repetitive "no, no" / "YES... yes". It's nauseating.

Yesterday, it became apparent that he just simply doesn't know sports anymore. Discussion of the Cubs acquiring Ben Zobrist. Neither host seemed to know which team currently employed B. Zobrist, and T. Boers even derailed the conversation saying he read "something" the other day saying Seattle Mariner Manager Lloyd McClendon felt the Mariner were exactly where they wanted to be in the standings. Dan Bernstein said something about then expecting Robinson Cano to have better second half numbers, before bringing back the B. Zobrist discussion. Pretty sure T. Boers thinks B. Zobrist is a Seattle Mariner. Pretty sure D. Bernstein doesn't know who B. Zobrist plays for.

This show is unlistenable, and it's not because they're rude to their callers, it's because these two "dopes" show up and do the same show every single day.

She/he is part right on this one...TB has been ISDN line'ing it in for years now...and I would guess 50% of the time isnt listening to his own show, so when it comes time for him to comment on anything, he just starts talking without content until he has a thought about anything, related or not.

Gonna give Matty a production pass, imagine trying to plan a show for 1 guy that shows up at 1:16 PM and the other guy switches his mic on....kinda hard to actually get a plan through to the slef appointed kings of radio,

At the very least it's accurate.

Terry got the "stay at home" privilege about 10 years ago, right?

I don't blame Terry for asking it. I just don't know why Mitch said yes. Cuz guess what? If he said "no" it's not like Terry was gonna walk away from his 500k a year job. But Mitch is a push over.

Look at Terry. Makes the most at the station and also saves on gas money.

I don't particularly care that Terry is on ISDN. I wish they would just have a better system of dealing with it. I have no idea how they do all the cueing each other and whatever signals there needs to be between the two dopes and producers. It doesn't seem clean though.

I never really noticed until I got my new car. On its HD radio suddenly it's like Terry is in a cave.

Donald Trump is an idiot and I dislike him just as much as the Miata driving MSNBC crowd BUT.....Terry Boers making fun of Trumps hair / comb over thing is mind blowing....has Terry not seen pictures of his own 1990's Doc Nick Riveria plug / comb over deal.

The quality just makes it sound like a different show....but the lack of real conversation has been evident for a few years now. Combine that with the mess of lies, cant do it.

I like HD radio. The Loop has a curated stand-up comedy channel that is pretty decent. For those bemoaning the death of XRT, just split your time between the base station for the old stuff and HD2 for the new stuff. I think they want you to do that. Plus I would imagine that one so inclined could open up a whole new world of subtle Bernstein sighs and snarfs.

I have never listened to a show that didn't have a noticeable drop off in quality when it was not in studio. As far back as Dahl broadcasting from Maui, remote shows have sucked.

callers are starting to reference it more and more too. asking terry for his thoughts and then making remarks about it. it has to be noticeable to management at this point. They have to be preparing some sort of exit strategy.

Why do you care where he works at? I don't they talk over each other (when I listen) and the sound quality is fine.

Many people work from home; as long as he is able to do this job, it shouldn't matter.

I question his content much more than where he talking from.

Funny you mention that, as today I walked in...had the Score on...wasnt sure if it was DB or a caller...but they asked him something and the silence followed up with some "ugghhhsss" and "Well, ahhhhhhh, let me tell ya something about....." and the caller hung up...I was laughing pretty hard as I walked upstairs and turned it off...it was a great example of the "mashooqana" going on there....

Terry just shot a hole in DB's "umpires are calling non-strikes strikes" theory by referencing an article that states that called strikes this year are at the lowest level in 14 years.
