We established in another thread that Spmack is the "straw man".

A woman at a golf course begins yelling, ''I've been stung by a bee!'' Her golf instructor asks her where she had been stung. ''Between the first and second hole,'' she replies. The golf instructor tells her, ''Oh, your stance is too wide.''

I understand him being happy, but keep it to yourself. The listeners really don't give a fuck.

Why the fuck is he so happy? He's hung over from rotgut wine and arguing with morons about rape and brain damage. I'm drinking top shelf Italians at Wine Week and letting my money work for me.

 you'll have to provide some details for the non-listeners. I assume you're exaggerating though.

I'm really not.

His charity got a massive check today for like $1.5 million from some nameless corporation and they are funded until like 2025 if they don't get another donation.

Success on multiple fronts.

Oh good, maybe he'll STFU about the camp on the air until then? It's about time Dan's love for corporations was reciprocated.

though to paraphrase Dan, I really don't even care since this is the Bears-heavy skippable portion of the B&B year anyway.

Can someone give me some background? I jump into the car and hear the two going back and forth about Patrick Kane and their "not saying, just saying" spiel. What I didn't understand (had to switch it off because I was recording my car's break problem) was whether they were taking shots at Kane (and his camp) for their silence? If there's a Grand Jury that is (or isn't convening) isn't everyone supposed to be sworn to secrecy?

IDK, I only caught about 40 seconds and couldn't discern exactly what was or wasn't being said?

They referenced some writer today that said there was no "legal" or "NHL" proper reason for Kane not to show up at camp. Then it was what they heard from their voices in their heads. Those voices were saying they are trying to convince Kane to take a personal leave but communication is properly protected by his lawyers and they are resisting.

Then a lot of babbling about how "you can't have him in camp no matter what is what".

The you wait for callers to jump on.

A couple tried to make the point (correct one in my mind) that they are saying Kane is guilty without saying he is guilty. BTW if you say Kaner it is automatically on. Either way I see they are hiding behind the protect and don't shame the accuser. That is fine but if the accuser gets a shield due to obvious real reasons then maybe just shield the accused as well until the charges are actually filed and he is arrested. Just my two cents.

I prefer to remain quiet no matter how bad it looks until we really know something in a court filing.

Now to close we get a little expert relief pitcher expertise from Dan and his bobble head partner. Maddon is fine as his bullpen implodes. Maddon uses reasonable calculated expectations in decisions. Yost is a clown car manager because he likes to have a 7, 8, 9 guy approach. I will take KC's wins and position heading into October.

Did the corporation cut them a check, or did they raise the money by walking a goat around or something? Because if it's the latter, as you'll recall, Mr. Charity thinks they deserve to be killed.

I believe it was simply a case of a very generous corporation deciding out of the goodness of their heart to donate.

Pay no attention to the fact that they are owned by Pfizer.
