In light of how they ended the show tonight bashing Murph I give you "I Predict". How many ways will Bernsie back away from Cub love and Boers goes "yeah that is about right"? |

We knew the Cubs were headed to WSCR more than a year ago. The instant they joined the CBS family you knew where their final destination was. Around that same time is when "compete for multiple titles" became a meme and all cautionary tales were waved away because "these guys are smarter." |

EDIT: Incidentally, WFAN is one of the only major AM stations I can think of that still quaintly identifies by one-tenth of its frequency as on old radio dials, i.e., "Sportsradio 66." It's one of the most annoying untrue bullshit things these assholes put out there. There is literally not 1 Cub fan in this city that feels that way. They all seem to "know" that person though. Well the good old days could mean more than just winning. Most people remember the past as being much better than it actually was at the time. There isnt 1 Blackhawks fan who isnt happy that they won the cup. Losing wasn't part of the Blackhawk fan's identity though. I agree with rogue that there aren't any Cub fans who don't want them to win, but once they have won, there may be regrets. The losing is one of the things that makes the Cubs special. Red Sox fans have lost their identity. They used to have a romantic story of near misses and constant heartbreak. That's why there's so many books written about them rather than the A's, for example. Now they're just another team that gets it's ass kicked by the Yankees most of the time. The Red Sox are now the Orioles. You might hope the Cubs move to Schaumburg and win a World Series every twenty years like a normal team, but I would caution to be careful about those hopes. |

The email, not your pup. yeah the new story was about him wearing like a full leather jumpsuit and doing some reads. terry and dan were sitting there and laughing at him and he came in all upset they were laughing at him and terry told him it was because of his godawful outfit. |
