It would've been a real treat if they could've gotten a little farther along than the third word of the second sentence without a typo.

Now she's trying to compare the Hardy and Kane cases which of course she denies she's doing.

I started following Graham a couple months ago and the dude is just a thin-skinned insufferable asshole.

I'm glad I can unfollow him now.

I don't know about Graham, but I would imagine that Bernstein and DiCaro will either try to pretend that none of this happened or they'll try to spin it in a different direction.

It doesn't matter that there was no credible evidence on which to build a case! Sigh, it's not even about that...

I think Sedita was annoyed at the way the accuser and her family with help from Tim Graham attempted to try this case in the media from day one. Sedita doesn't strike me as one of those egomaniacal prosecutors who loves to see himself on TV. He comes off as very measured and professional. But the way the accuser's side handled this from the beginning, all the leaks, etc., it created a bad situation. This was obviously going to be a national story and you quickly had goofs like bernstein yowling about how Kane has no presumption of innocence in the court of public opinion. So I think maybe Sedita figured he'd give the court of public opinion a little info to straighten it out. And I believe that was fair to Kane.

Also, the attorneys all know each other. That Eoannou guy seems really professional and like a stand-up guy. I'm sure he quickly started having doubts about his client. Then when he was made to look silly with that evidence bag, I'm sure he was steaming. I wouldn't doubt there was a phone call(s) between him and Sedita and/or Cambria where he advised them he was withdrawing and possibly voiced some concerns about his client and her family. None of these attorneys ever did anything I would consider grandstanding or playing to the public. That stands out for me as a Chicagoan because I'm used to Shark Lopez and the Adam boys.

This whole fucking article is a gold mine!

We're off to a roaring start.

Fear not Hawks fans, Sports Mockery is here to defend Patrick Kane in the court of public opinion!

The optics! Won't someone PLEASE think of the optics!

That’s what Graham made the public think.

Holy projection Batman!

I don't think Bernstein will take the time, even a segment, to review how wrong he was or how he (and the station, by default, since they follow his lead on every "smart" topic) could have reported on this story differently. Probably hard to do that when you're still making comments suggesting Kane did something wrong. He could even deflect and blame the reports on Graham although that wouldn't hide how insufferable he was on this story.

Dan insists he was fair with Kane. So he says that and that's it in his mind. But he wasn't.

He said, a few times at least, "THERE IS NO WAY THIS WOMEN IS MAKING THIS UP."

That is the same as saying Kane is guilty.

I'm sure he he has some of his hardcore fan s believing that Bernstein was a strong voice for shining light on the rape culture (blah, blah, blah), etc, and the outcome of this case doesn't even matter because of the quality work he was doing. This board has followed this story pretty well, and it's been almost perfect consensus that Bernstein was promoting this women's innocence and Kane's guilt, not matter what words he used.

Both he and Julie are trying to smuggle in meanings while maintaining deniability. And Baffoe has just gone full-moron. I stick up for my Mount Carmel brudders, and he's from a good Carmel family, but he's just an amazing d-bag and and a dumb-ass to boot. Christ Almighty! This guy simply has no argumentative skills.
