Post subject:  12/31: Julie DiCaro takes her war to the air waves
Bernstein said she's doing the show with Grote.

Now she gets to say "Fuck you" to her imagined "Women haters" instead of typing it.

Interesting pairing. Mitch thought long and hard about it. It could only be Grote with her in his mind. He's right. Anybody else on the SCORE bench would say something that would set her off. Grote won't. He'll just do his usual goof act with his 2 or 3 tiresome impressions.

Ok. I was thinking of Harrison Ford in the Fugitive, Lou Pinella and Grobstein. That's all I know from him.

Bernstein should have been suspended (at least) for his role in the irresponsible Kane reporting. His role shouldn't be forgotten. DiCaro is just a troll. She's trying to create a name by being the vicitim to twitter outrage. In other words, she's an idiot. I don't care about her outrage.

I think he's on Sunday morning for a couple of hours but still has the nerve to tell people "If you don't like it, don't listen. This isn't the show for you."

I might be confusing him with Mike Esposito, but I don't think Esposito is that much of a dick.

Mark Grote is now the pre/post host for Cubs radio. Before that, he did scoreboards for Mully and Hanley and did Saturday mornings with Rosenbloom after Brian Paruch left. Grote was the one who brought in all the "wake and bake"/"our show sucks" shtick. He's known for being a humble and agreeable guy, which by WSCR-2015 standards makes him practically eligible for sainthood.

Is they guy I was talking about Matt or Mark Rodewald? It sounds like I was wrong about it being Grote (or Esposito).

You're thinking of Matt Rodewald, reffed a high school basketball game with him last year, quite interesting. By the way JDC is on Saturday as well with Espo from 1-5.

It will definitely be Cubs heavy. If you want to talk football you're probably watching the games. Actually if you want to talk anything you're probably starting your NewYears plans, and thus why they're getting this shot today.

It could be a good listen unless they think mundane slices of life is a route to take. Doesn't work for Flounder and Pounder and based on the DiCaro Tweeter wouldn't be very interesting in their case either.
