He told Krause, “you gave me your word.” (Which in Johnny’s day, your word is everything). Krause told him, “Show me that in writing.”

Did anyone on the Bulls, outside of Rodman and Jack Haley, actually like each other?

From the reddit post linked (funny how Gawker has a war on reddit but steals all their shit):

Quote:
Rodman ' Never coached him but had great respect for him. He said Rodman used to sit outside Pistons practices afterward with a shotgun to his head. 'I'm lucky I never coached him, I probably would have told him to do it already.'

Not sure the girls meeting MJ thing is true. I saw him and Oakley at a club around 2004 and he was very active without detectives.

Wasn't he divorced by then?

One of the reasons a lot of people doubted the veracity of the stories was because the Bulls-Hornets series only went 4 that year, but it does kind of look like MJ lays off Bogues and just yells at him here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh30faX ... age#t=549s

He banged some high school girl from OPRF at a summer camp in his very early years. He learned quick.

Bogues hardly looks devastated. In fact, Michael is the one who fumbles the ball on the next set and misses the shot.

Bogues was 30 at the time of that series so there is no way that "ruined his career." A guy of Mugsy's size didn't get into the league by being soft mentally or physically.

Probably because Bogues was so short with him.

The other BS was that Pippen was a thug coming into the league. That guy was as back assed shit kicker. He just oozed of being a country rube in a big city. He certainly wasn't a tough guy as the Pistons attacked him because of his weakness.

The Reddit post was better.

It had an Ignatius reference. He supposedly didn't get along with the SICP coach. From the B and B references the two of them should have got along VERY well.

Another thing from Reddit:

Jordan bought Barkley a 20K earring after golfing 48 with him during the Suns championship series so the "Barkley would not touch him".

Right, and when you pull on this it plays jingle bells. Jordan lost that on the course and the earring launders the money for Barkley.

Breaking News:

Dan says he is aware of the Patrick Kane "finger fucking" that's being passed around on social media. Dan says there is nothing to comment on at this moment. But he assured everybody that he is monitoring the situation. So we all rest easy tonight. Dan's on the case.

For someone who makes his living as a broadcaster and prides himself in his pronunciation, Bernstein said something today that made any native of the state cringe. He pronounced Illinois like my mother does, "E-l-l-i-n-o-i-s."

How do you not know how to pronounce your state, Danny?? It's effing "I-L-L-I-N-O-I-S", you say the "I" as in "You are ill".

Pip was as green as one could be and he dodnt tip at CATCH 35 because he didnt know if he should or not when the owner tells him to come in and everything was on him.

No matter how green he was, you learn fast in the NBA that everywhere you go you have groupies ready, willing and able.

Another story I don't believe from that deadspin article.

Where Johny Bach tells Jordan he doesn't have the money for the $1,000 HOF dinner and the airline ticket and hotel. Bach was an NBA assistant coach for 20+ years. So he's making a 6 figure salary over those years. He could afford it.

Now, what I do believe is him telling MJ that he was broke cuz he knew MJ would pick it up. Which he did. So nice move Johnny.

ORDELL
She one of the women I got set up. I
got Melanie in Hermosa Beach. I rent
Simone a small house in Compton, and
about four blocks away I got me this
nineteen-year-old country girl named
Sheronda. I found her waitin' for a
bus two days outta Alabama, barefoot,
country as a chicken coop. Took her
to my house in Compton, told her it
was Hollywood.

LOUIS
She believed you?

ORDELL
Hell, yeah. To her dumb country ass,
Compton is Hollywood. Close as she's
ever been, anyway.

No doubt, but he wasn't a thug. He and Horace were two country bumpkins

NBA Assistants don't make that much money, especially during his time. I'd be shocked if he was even pulling down $100k per season even at the end of his coaching career.

He obviously didn't have FU money if he kept a grudge with Krause over not getting a new contract
