I would like a guy too who shows up to work everyday and takes whatever salary I gave him.

Yesterday's show thread about old school Terry in action had me interested in listening today.

Five minutes without Terry driving the conversations was more than enough. I just can't stand that smarmy little bastard.

Aren't the only head coaches he's ever had Chip Kelly, Marc Trestman, and John Fox? Yeah, I guess Fox would top that esteemed list.

I just heard a commercial for PoleKatz' Naked Bowl. I hope Julie's son wasn't listening!

Mom, can we go see the Naked Bowl?

Get in the car right around 4:00, and the very first thing I hear Bernstein say is "And while we're down here I really want to get Darren Rovell on."

Man, fuck Dan Bernstein.

Dan: I wish Cowher would just shut up so I can show him ho much I know about scheme.

Cowher: If this jew doesn't stop looking at me like that I'm going to pop him in the mouth. I don't care if he is 5'4" and 59 years old.

Terry: ...

Bernsie seemed to put each coach they had on the spot this week with a how would you handle Cam and his stuff. None of them would answer as he wanted I am sure.

I assume this means, that, shockingly, he brought left wing politics into the show? If so, I can't imagine that.

So, Fox is only slightly above some Trestman? That's a pretty ridiculous position. You can at least argue that Kelly (as a coach) can win games. Yes, Fox, on game days, tends to get ultra conservative, and that is very frustrating, but his teams, bottom-line, have won games and advanced in the playoffs. That didn't happen the last 2 years, and I don't think Elway said anything crazy either - the team made a change hoping to get farther in the playoffs. Whether you credit Kubiak or not, the team did.

Perspective matters in these conversations. Fox is a very credible head coach. In fact, he's a good head coach, and probably one of the better ones.

What answer was he looking for?

I think he wanted to hear them say it was all ok. So the white angry men would look bad. Most I heard said it depended on the team and maybe taking it down a notch would be ok too. In other words no consensus.

I'm not up to speed with the topic being discussed, but I am familiar with liberal angle Bernstein tries to spin every sports story.

Plus everyone in the entire room is smiling and having a good time, except of course Bernstein. He's torn because he wants to conduct a very serious interrogation of Cowher about the Tau matter in Joey Porter's brain but he's too afraid to mention it to his face.
