See, Score people, I'll compliment when you crackers do well (Goff: Hey what about me? Beardown: I'll compliment you, I'm just waiting for that time when it's deserved. Goff: Cracker ass motha fucka!!! Beardown: ) Interviews were good and interesting for the most part. B&B seemed enthused and happy to be there. Which made the listener feel their joy, thus making an entertaining listen. Bernstein was funny with his stories. It was a good job. Only bad part was when drinky decided to chime in from back home with bad jokes, stupid comments and his desperate need to be annoying. But you're always gonna get that with him. Super Bowl week or otherwise. Other than that, it was a good 3 days from the "old man" and "the great one". Well done, boys. |

Yeah, they were being goofy and funny for the most part (except that last unfortunate interview). |

Are you talking about that woman they interviewed around 5:30 Friday? I cannot even remember who she was, but indeed that was truly painful. It's too bad they had to be nice to her. |

That interview was awkward and Bernsie backed off on a good question because he was afraid she'd stomp off and call him sexist. That's how it sounded at least. |

Long time lurker, first time poster. I couldn't disagree more, the Super Bowl week was only good because we got lots of interviews and less of Dan whining about press conferences or the Bulls. Some interviews were good (Eugene Robinson), but when they interviewed the CBS executives it was downright embarrassing. Not one question about Phil Simms, even when Les Moonves said "We got Super Bowl 50 because the NFL loves our broadcast team." I get it, if I were Terry I wouldn't criticize anyone writing me a $400k check to make noises incoherently into a microphone from home 5 days a week for 5 hours. And given all Dan has been through this year, radio silence was the best move professionally for him. I didn't expect them to ask a hard question, but it doesn't mean I can't call them out for sucking off the CBS executives. The fact that they were out there for only 3 days this week, as opposed to a full 5, really shows you how much The Score is scraping by. Hotels rooms were expensive, but if you can't come up with ~$3k more in revenue to get them out there for a full week then that doesn't look great upon your business. It was laughable to me that they got Toyota to sponsor them this week (hearing Dan's cringe-worthy selling of the "Play dot it podcast" was funny), but it wasn't enough revenue for a full week. The Kristin Leahy interview was weak, I even tweeted her before going on to see if she would confront Dan about being a sexist. Either she didn't see it (likely) or she ignored it. Whatever the case, they didn't call her out for talking about Colin Cowherd and his "well-researched" opinions. And Dan comparing himself to Cowherd was pretty hilarious. A guy who has a national show vs a guy who has what, the 19th rated show in his market? And some months not even 1st in his timeslot among sports radio shows. The final take-away is that Terry will be going into some type of surgery with recovery for the next couple of months, but he was light on details and the assumption would be he will retire within the next year. While he can be entertaining at times, he was a liability in the interviews this week. Can anyone come up with one good interview question he had? Every time it was, "You know _______ it's interesting because.... back in the day ... you seem very genuine about it. Was that true, was it really like what you described?" |

That's how it sounded at least. It was a sorta good question, but also a bad question in that he knew she couldn't answer it. "Yes, Fox hired me because I'm a hot blond." She didn't do herself any favors with her answer though. "There were some non-blondes that also interviewed so you can't say they only hire that type." Yes you can, you got the job and they didn't. You could tell they wanted to kill her on her Bulls thoughts. Although if she went to the Bulls Lakers game in LA it's probably on more Bulls game Dan and Terry have been to this year. |

She probably was, yes, but she won't say that, and she probably doesn't think it. |

I get to check in on them when I move my vehicle and dodge the various stray bullets on 30th & State. It pretty much is always at the time when LoHo has his brief dialogue with those two. So basically, you're not missing all that much. |

wasnt it around super bowl time last year B&B interviewed the viagra girl that dan had become obsessed with seeing in commercials? They asked her what other projects she had lined up and she said she doesnt like talking about upcoming work. That pretty much made sealed her fate as a joke for the next couple weeks. |

The heyday of the Score is so in the past its not even funny. I know a few here like to say Bernstein won...well, matters how you look at it. Did he run everyone else off and now its just a bunch of losers? Let me answer that question for you....YES. Its why so many efforts to do something similar had so much potential, yet poorly organized...or no organization. |
