If Arrietta pulls those kind of numbers, they will not be a 97 win team even with everyone hitting 30+ HR |

If you don't subscribe to Joe Sheehan's newsletter, do it. It's what smart baseball fans do. You will need it in order to follow along when Danny Boy reads it word for word on the air. |

PECOTA is notoriously pessimistic in their projections. |

The annual PECOTA show? Keep it. I'd rather listen to 5 hours of CTE talk... |

It's perfectly logical that Hammel and Hendricks will be better than Rodon |

WHY. IS. DAVID. ROSS. ON THIS TEAM? If they got rid of him they would be the perfect team. Everybody at least a replacement player. |

Also surprised that with all the acquisitions that Theo made they have them winning 5 less games than last year |

Adam Eaton with a higher WAR than Heyward? Heyward & his new millions with a substantially lower WAR than his second year teammate without a position (to hear some tell it)? To think some wanted to ridicule USA Today for their equally pie in the sky rankings. Theo must be slipping. |

Theo must be slipping. i have no idea what is included in prospectus WARP figure. i'm not sure bernstein know either. educated guess, but i believe it's calculated strictly off stick production. if the warp considered baserunning and fielding i imagine the number would favor heyward. probably the same with rizzo vs abreu. |

They probably don't think Heyward will be a ++ defender in CF like he is in RF. |

Eaton's offensive numbers have been better the past two years. PECOTA is just based off historic numbers. |

PECOTA chrages. I'll never understand how it's legal for B&B or anybody else to give it away for free. Granted, I'm sure you could also steal it off the internet as well. I steal handicapping publications off the internet (So I'm a thief too) But with that you don't know who's providing it. With B&B it's clear they are the ones giving something of value away for free and thus costing the PECOTA people. I guess the reverse argument is B&B are giving them a free advertisement. But so what if they're giving you the info. |
