On today’s show, Dan and “Giggles” Rongey will be broadcasting from the Auto Show, where there will be overweight, annoying, creepy people talking to them for no reason….but enough about The Shift Change.

Dan will continue to talk PECOTA Projections and read excerpts from Joe Sheehan’s newsletter (If you call yourself a baseball fan, you should subscribe). Callers will say dumb things, Dan will make fun of them, and Rongey will laugh uncontrollably at his hero.

They will discuss more the cutting of Jermon Bushman, and also bad Bulls basketball (is there any other kind?)

A good time will be had by all. Except the listeners.

You make a good point about Rongey. Doesn't take much for that guy to go into a "Giggles Fit". Christ, drinky simply makes fart noises and Rongey cracks up for 3 minutes during his update.

Dan knows all the inner working about the deep, deep divisions that have to happen in the locked rooms for the new Illinois AD.

I like Rongey cracking up. He sounds genuine.

he apparently knows one trustee and only talks about U of I because it makes him seem like he is a "reporter" with connections.... when in reality its pretty well proven the chicago market doesnt give a shit about u of I athletics unless they are 2005 tournament good.

it was a long time ago, so I can't be compelled to remember the names, but he did name a few connections he had within the Illini at that remote. Terry has some connections too. I can't be compelled to remember because I didn't care then and don't now.

Nope...he just suddenly reversed course and said to forget the season. If he starts breaking bad on Fred, plan on witnessing a firing.

I listened to about an hour of the Dan Bernstein Affiliate Marketing Program today at various points, and I have to admit that Rongey isn't horrible in the Garry Meier role of making fun of the lead host. He should go back to St. Louis and get a job down there as a host.

Love that Rongey busts Dan's balls.... don't like that he blows him by laughing at every fucking stupid attempt by Dan to be funny.
