If I can criticize them, I can also give props when warranted.

This morning, they took perhaps the worst call in the history of sports radio when a caller said that it's Derrick Rose's fault for the team not having a second star, his premise being that Rose didn't do enough to recruit other star players. He also basically called Derrick Rose a pussy because Adrian Peterson came back quickly and he insinuated that Derrick is just milking his injury. Among other things, he also said that Rose doesn't make his teammates better and that he's basically Allen Iverson. Mully and Hanley gave the caller the beatdown he deserves. It was refreshing to hear because usually, they'll let a guy like that ramble on with his stupid opinion and then respond with something like, "Well that's an interesting take." I'm glad they didn't do that. I hope that call gets some play later with B&B.

When I was listening it sounded like Hanley was in favor of Derrick recruiting other stars. Was that a joke?

Yes. It had to be sarcasm.

They also got some mileage out of a texter who said that Ben Gordon was a better all around player than Derrick Rose. Not sure if the text was in jest, but I hope so.

It was a fun season in the same way that a 45 degree day is fun when the temperature has been in the teens for two weeks.

My commute is less than 10 minutes but I heard them discussing the texter claiming that Ben Gordon was a
better all around player than Rose. Even in jest, it was not amusing which leads me to believe that individual
actually was buing what he sent into the show.

Disagree.

Sure the fact that they had been awful was a part of it, but what Gordon was doing would have stood on its own.

The guy was like Jordan in the 4th quarter that year. It was fun to watch. It got to the point where if the Bulls were within 10, I expected Gordon to close it out.

Plus Deng was good as a rookie and Curry and Chandler were finally starting to contribute.

Probably my favorite non championship season of any of my teams.

That was the team that got me back into the Bulls and the NBA. I remember watching them beat the Knicks at MSG on MLK Day. It was freezing, just miserable, but I was happily bundled up in my dorm watching the Bulls and eating Indian food.

Oh man, I remember that game. I had just gotten back from Florida and my live in girlfriend at the time was being a bitch. I remember watching the game as I ignored her

I probably over rated him that year, but how could you not?

I had watched a lot of him in college thinking the Bulls would take Okafor. I was very surprised by the shooting. He was much more of a facilitator at Uconn

This morning during "Grote's Dance Party" (don't ask / don't tell) they played some song, albeit not THE song, that had a big flagrant SHAKE THAT drop. Sure there were no subtle references to the man who made SHAKE THAT famous, but you know someone there had to have a chuckle at the phrase that started a MoVement, not just a show.

Then, as if to balance the karma/force/vibes, some caller disagreed with Mulley and his immediate 180 from forced-happy-go-lucky Chris paul dishing out 3+ hanley scale jokedimes™® persona to a sullen pouty "I'm taking my call and going Home" bitchmode™®© operator was suitably hilarious.

Oh and there was a ~4 Hanley bad pun in there. Mulligan us fundamentally immune to them so he must have forgotten to force the guffaw; it's kind of like those YouTube videos of the big bang theory w/o a laugh track.

Still tho, THAT was SHAKEN, not stirred so they've earned NY listeners hip from THA TEW GREENBURGG KREW up the dial. The old cranky Seth greenburgg wanted to be remembered today so he out and out called Dwight Howard a team-killing cancer. LE SO EDGY xDDDDDD

excuse me, but before I let you go I've got one more from "the top football writer in the country" (per MULEY) DAN POMPEY

Bill Simmons had him ranked like 15th that year or something in his annual MVP column.

Agreed; sometimes one's nipples just need a rest.

I was listening this week and the caller that was all over M&H for being dense and ignorant for not understanding that Rose's comeback will be dictated by Lloyd's of London was an all time favorite of mine.
