Anyone get his comments about D Rose this week? About being one of the most aware players of his environment in the league and his ALL STAR ability still there?

Yea.....he knows Derrick better than the general public. Derrick must be a hell of an actor.

I was going to start this thread 2 months ago bit I decided to hold off.

KC Johnson may be the worst beat guy of all time...more than Mike Kiley from what I hear.

He never breaks news, he only reports on what others break.

he also has a weird nasally voice. and yes he never says much of anything opinionated. if the job that he does is necessary, in that the bulls just need a voice for status updates, at least get a guy in there thats jovial and funny. anyone can do his job the way he does it.

He definitely is awful. What makes it worst is he has been on the beat for 15 or so years. You would think over that time he would have a long list of names for sources.

KC's problem is he is too close to management. He'll give them every benefit of doubt. What does he get in exchange of that? Leaked stories that management wants out? Confirmation or rejection of stories people write about?

His comments this week about Rose...WOW.....I mean you would think Derrick was the teams union rep at the very least. Forget about his claims of Rose beign ALL STAR level talent still....but the comments about Derrick being aware of off the court issues, what people say, how he handles it....there is NOTHING Rose has ever done to tell me he is aware or handles issues well off the floor.

Dare I say, Rose isnt a smart guy. I dont even think he is that Street smart....which is one version of how Goff and KC said Rose has to be street smart??? Why because he is alive and made it to memphis...(Thanks to Josh Pastner and Rod Strickland).

The guys life plan and path has been laid out by others. He just walks down the path. he demonstrates nothing that says he thinks for himself, has a thought or knows what it is going on.

I just hope KC is right about him about an ALL STAR....Still.....but I do know this, without an improved outside shot, he might not even get time in this new Bulls offense.

what pisses me off is KC is an obvious management shill.... he only breaks interesting player/management news when mangement allows him to. you can tell he's afraid of killing his sources so he break news that happened 2 years ago that he's been sitting on.

the best part of The Game was they signed KC, Haugh, and hoge as exclusives so i didnt have to listen to any of those idiots on WSCR
