The biggest stat to me, perhaps because what I remember most about Bears’ QB performance last year was the “deer in the headlights” play (on 2 on 2, ready… hut-hut), is fumbles:

Krenzel lost 6 fumbles in 6 games

You can't really compare Orton to Krenzel IMO. Orton has the physical tools to play in the NFL where Krenzel does not. At the very least Orton is getting experience and at least has a chance to become a good quarterback in the future. Still...the Bears are winning despite him and since it looks like they might have the chance to do something in the playoffs Bears fans should hope something clicks and he starts hitting his recievers or Grossman/Blake can step in and provide competent quarterback play.

I always laugh when people call in and talk about a quarterback's wins and losses like he's a pitcher. Football is the ultimate team game...the quarterback isn't even close to being as responsible for wins and losses as a pitcher in baseball.
