MORNING BOYS WHAT'S GOING ON
Alright so we're sitting here in and y'know ya can't help but look at the quarterbacks that are in the Superbowl and ya can't help but think about how they got there and ya can't help but look at it through the lens of the Bears and we're always looking to see is it better to have the the who regardless of who wins the game these are two different ways of going about it, right? The uh, when the when the Bears famously got Justin Fields Trey Lance was selected by the Niners, he's no longer there, instead it's Mr. Irrelevant the guy who was the two hundred sixty second pick in the draft and uh he's the starter and then opposite that there's of course Mahomes, the greatest woulda coulda shoulda in Bears history where they took Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky at second and then he rolls out at ten and here he is again in the Superbowl and here the Bears are again trying to figure out what to do at the quarterback position does the lesson of this Superbowl tell you to draft the best player or does it tell you to build the best team?

Does management listen to their own station? How don't you have a conversation with a host who takes two minutes and still can't figure out how to ask a guest a question?

Mully: "Um, I'm curious Brad let's talk about the Rooney Rule for a second here. So, we know that the Patriots brought in uh Byron Leftwich and Pep Hamilton, former Bears quarterback coach probably best known for his time in Cleveland as an assistant head coach, I'm just curious how sincere were those interviews if they turned around hired Vrabel immediately the way they did and is there any recourse....I.....not that the Bears I mean not that Vrabel is the guy, y'know favorite son goes back to New England all that stuff but I just wonder, that seems insincere and it seems like they should complain to Roger and uh that's just me being embittered ... but I'm wondering so Chico technically coming in person and I'm sure, it may well have been his request, you know we know that he's he's a guy that's been here and knows everybody who knows, but that counts as a uh a Rooney Rule interview. Thomas Brown would not, because it has to be a candidate from the outside, yes, and external candidate and even a couple of the guys they've already talked to would no longer, wouldn't count, because that's not in person is that just not a consideration for them because of the way their list is formulated and they will eventually get to that or is it wise to have that done so that if and I uh don't I'm not saying that Chico isn't a sincere candidate or anyone isn't but I just wonder y'know seems like the Patriots just interviewed a couple of guys who are two years removed from the league

Mully is the worst offender of this. He sort of stumbles as he talks, probably mixes up a name along the way and goes on and on.

Holmes, Leila....they all do it. They sort of make a statement with a question in there somewhere vs. just being direct. Most of the topics discussed do not need an opening explanation/commentary before you finally get to the question. You don't need to to lead the person, give your opinion, etc.

Just ask the question.
