I think you can include many in the media on that list, not only reporters. Try adding Stone, Mac, North, etc....
All of these guys LOVE being critics, but none of them can take any criticism. They are all thin skinned.
It's more a product of the industry I think though as opposed to thin skinned people happening to work in media. My 9 months of work at Tribune Co was a real eye opener with how self important so many in media companies are. Not just talent but even the sales people and middle managers thought they were special and big time. That place sucked.
