A big problem with Mully and Hanely is their ties to the sports teams (Mully- Bears, Hanely- Bulls).
They are afraid to criticize the teams and/or players too much, if at all because then they will become unpopular in the clubhouse. They want to keep a good reputation as reporters. Their interviews are weak.

Hanely is not meant for radio. An average guy could do as good of a job as he does.

Mully is good but I think he is too restricted by the nature of the show which tries to be the total opposite of the Mike North morning show. Mully can be really funny when he is allowed to be himself.

Mully told his Lawerence Taylor baskeball story at UNC. Four times is enough already. :D

How have they done in the ratings? I'd be interested to know if their ratings are better that the last few ratings North put up before he was shown the door.

Ed Sherman blogged on chicagobusiness.com the other day that ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike in the Morning" continues to beat every Chicago-based sports talk radio show on either station. There's a promo that the "SCORE" has been running claiming that "the #1 sports radio show in Chicago is 'Mully & Hanley'..." How is that possible, when the actual numbers don't quite back it up? :? I happen to like "M & H", but I don't think the #1 ranking is really accurate...

My favorite show on the Score. They talk sports for 4 straight hours.

This show has become WAY over-produced. It was refreshing when it was just two non-radio guys talking sports. Now they rival Murph for most drops used per minute. I guess that's what happens when they move to an important time slot but it's too bad.

Except for Bill Maher, Van Damme, probably others.

Anybody catch Bill Maher? I think it was Monday - why would they want him on?

Steriod use is not sports. Lately they have been no better than the ESPN Mothership.

Why not? Bill Maher is great! I missed it. He is one of the few that will tell it like it really is. No phony bullshit. I take it you dont like him? Why is that?
