He was the Hawks GM for two years. Get over it Brian!

Just an anecdote why this show is bad. This morning(1/17) they had George Karl on as a guest. The intro is very awkward with some weird joke/quip about the Chicago weather(by Mully) which Karl didn't get. Mully then accused Karl of writing his new book to get back in coaching, which really took Karl aside. 3-5 more minutes ensued of a boring interview, then after the call, Hanley say's, "oh geez, we sould have asked Karl about Rondo, since he had trouble with him in Sacramento".

Really guys, do you even prep for your interviews?

I didn't mind the interview but the lack of a Rondo question was stupid. The problem with these types of interviews is the guest is only on to sell the book. So you end up interviewing the guy about his book at the expense of current events.

Even though he mostly irritates the shit out of me now, Bernstein really does his homework on these interviews. Yeah, he will let them sell whatever. But you aren't getting airtime without answering some of his questions. I get they wake up at like 2AM to get their at 5AM, but then you need to prep for 1-2 hours before you go home, for the next day. It's tough but put the effort in.

M&H are what they are at this point. Mully stumbles. Hanley has lame one liners. They are fine. It's not earth shattering or great radio. But it is a solid review of the sporting events from the night before. They watch the key games and have thoughts. I've come to like the show despite its flaws.

I really think there is something wrong with Mully. He's been doing alot of stupid shit of late.

The Fox-Fangio rift looks like he just made up a story.
He conviently was "sick" for 2-3 days during the Boers farewell stuff.

And his question to Karl, about the book being a prop for "coaching" was really a dick thing to do.

Hanley tries his best, given his lack of skills, he's fine.

I have trouble making the leap that there is something unknown about Mully. He doesn't seem like one of these guys with behind the scenes drama. He rarely takes shots at other people on the Score. He seems like a guy that enjoys sports just like we do. He'd do well to work on interview prep, as you mentioned, because he rambles with meandering questions. But really it kind of is part of his charm at this point.

Billick pimping his Stub Hub thing is weird tho....that they try to frame it as if it's part of the actual interview and not a blatant ad...

Mully is the most sensitive bitch host on the score. That's why the other shows never discuss anything that happens on the morning show. Definitely no drops. Mully is so horrendous at interviews he has his own thread in which you can read verbatim transcripts of his nonsensical "questions" he asks interviewees

Mully has the face for radio, a voice for sign language, and talent for the Bargain Beacon.

He was a Bears’ beat reporter? I’ve never heard him once say anything technical. Learry, Bernstein, and ZZ can at least parrot technical analysis. This is a guy who up until a few years ago didn’t know that an extra point was an un-timed down.

And his deep, phlegmy, cackle at the lamest jokes....

I hate him. I hate him so much!
