Said this morning that the O-Line is a Bears strength currently.

WTF? Have you seen Charles Leno play? Or Bobby Massie?

Replace Leno and they could be very good next year with Whitey Codehair, James Daniels and Sam Mustipher on the inside.

the bears are an offensive line away from being a 11-12 win team.. even with mitch at qb.

Haugh has had some of the worst takes in Chicago sports history. B&B used to tear into him constantly. I guess he is off limits now.

Leno Jr gives up halfway during each play and just lets dudes run past him.

Two more jobs and he'll make as much as Hanley did.

Fwiw Hanley seemed to understand an actual sport, albeit hockey. I don't know if Haugh has ever entertained anything interesting in any format.

I think he wants to make evocative statements. I cannot believe a guy who played college football actually believes some of the things he says. He should be one of the most informed hosts at the station in regards to its biggest draw. I don't think anyone holds him in the same regard as other guys who only have slightly higher experience than him and are considered station experts.

Listening to Haugh talk is like wandering into a retirement home and running into an old man who was given a book of cliches to study.

After Mully is done screaming for no apparent reason, you can hear the deep breath as Haugh winds himself up for a 2-minute monologue that ultimately says nothing. He aimlessly wanders from one cliche to the next as he waxes on about what is ailing the White Sox offense or why the Bears linebacking corps might struggle this year. He'll toss in a few buzzwords, and occasionally actually be self-aware enough that he actually hears himself talking in a circle and attempts to segue into a tease for the next segment.

Hanley was nothing special, but boy the move to ouster him for this self-aggrandizing tool still seems odd - one thing if you were going to upgrade, quite another when you upset the apple cart with the end result being a negative war replacement.

It's a good thing that humas like repetition and predictability (and that ESPN sucks) as those have got to be the only reasons Screamy and Huh (with clown sidekick Crustin') continue to power on year after year.

He really cannot be as dumb as the thoughts he voices. Maybe it's CTE from his football days. If not, the guy just doesn't have a base line of intelligence to be on the radio.

Unfortunately, your first intuition was correct. That or he's mailing it in and doing a bad job of hiding it. One of my favorite more recent "thoughts/observations" is the Bears have never in their history lost 14 games like they did in 2022, so for Haugh it was a "historically" bad season. Yet he fails to mention they never had a chance to go 3-14 until 2021, when the league moved to 17 games. Little things like that annoy the hell out of me, not to mention the other stuff. Just laziness.

Now he's saying we should get Doc here to "shake things up." Maybe he doesn't realize doc doesn't play PG anymore.

Every single day this week I have heard he and Dustin pimping Nico Hoerner as the best player on the team and a definite all star. I haven't watched much lately so I thought for sure he must have hit a hot streak and his numbers are soaring. Every single offensive stat is pedestrian. Not bad, but certainly not someone you should be shocked at not being pushed, even by his own fans, for an all star spot. I don't know if this rah, rah is synergistic corporate partnership or just the stereotype of fans overvaluing a grindy player, but its pretty ridiculous.

ESPN is dumping their shitty national morning show. It's not clear if they will make affiliates take on the new show. If they don't, I would expect that 1000 will put somebody local on from 5:30-7am - maybe not Kap and Hood but one of their bench guys or producers who is willing to wake up that early. Or maybe they steal Grote from 670, since Grote is used to working mornings and has the Bears relationships.

Hoerner: .284/.333/.399
Albies: .268/.320/.504
McNeil .267/.348/.338
Stott .295/.333/.427

Hoerner and Stott have better defense, but not enough to offset Albies' slug. If Albies is voted in as the starter, Hoerner has a good shot to be a reserve.

I think we all get it, what happened was bad, but these SJW's at The Score are insufferable.

I hear dumb from him on a daily basis. His thoughts are simplistic. His segment ideas are uncreative. He isn't funny or entertaining. He really gets exposed when Mully isn't in studio for the day or lets him drive the show for a couple of minutes when Mullys burning a mule. This was a big strikeout for Mitch.

Tell them to start earlier. I'm in the office by the time they get going. You know Hood is my favorite currently on air host. I wish he'd start a podcast of him just doing postgames of every chicago team. He was always great at it
