It's just that these two guys are not established...but they're ok. Pull their strings and out splats chicago sports talk. Mostly predictable..but they're ok. Ask a tough question of a guest? No not here. Ever disagree with one another and compelling radio suddenly occurs? No not here. It's milk-toast sports talk but it's all Chicago and...they're ok. I think I like them.

All I ask of sports talk is some intelligent, no-bullshit insight. Not the soul-sucking talking-head blather devoid of any content that you hear on most shows.

Beyond that, the most important thing is to be funny. And recently, they've been making me laugh out loud with regularity.

I think if there is a catch with "Mully & Hanley in the Morning", it's the fact these two guys actually deliver genuine CHICAGO SPORTS TALK in morning drive. They're not trying to be Mike North, Howard Stern, Don Imus or any other "shock jock" pushing the creative envelope in hopes of getting ratings. I think they'll be the first to admit that, and the column Ted Cox wrote in the Daily Herald about 2 weeks ago was refreshingly honest. If you want "shock radio", Mike Mulligan & Brian Hanley don't know how to do it, and I doubt seriously they're about to try. There's nothing wrong with being yourself.

Football will bring good info, if Mully gives up the scoops! and doesn't keep it for his little myspace friends!

This morning I noticed two things:
Tom Dressan called in and Zach Zabman was dissected pretty darn good by the hosts.
Sounded a little like the Aug 7, 2007 score morning show...

Just for the record, we know why Zach Zaidman was on, but Tom Dreesen was on "Mully & Hanley in the Morning" to promote a celebrity golf tournament in this area.

They're my heros!

I love the show and dare I say its the best SPORTS RADIO show in Chicago.

No dumbass nonsense!

No random hate and "I'm smarter than you" talk

No silly overdone "salloon" talk (sorry Mac- your show is now 2nd. to me anyway)

Sports

Sports

and more sports.

Isnt that what the founding fathers of the SCORE wanted all along?

Agreed for the most part.

I enjoy MJH, but Mully and Hanley are my top listen.

When I think of the host/hosts I would like to most have a beer and shoot the sports shit with, Mully and Hanley top the list.

If sportsradio were music, Mully and Hanly would be classified as easy listening. Which for that time slot, is fine for me.
