'You can fax them, you can text them"

HEY ABOUT PAXSON TAKING SOME CALLS?

There was a day when the fans station took calls to talk sports! They took calls without a 30 minute hold time to try and fit 3 'prepared' calls into some format dreamed up by the latest kid from The Illinois School of Broadcasting.

There was a time when the Score would not even have a guy on the air if he could not take a call from a fan.

Am I to think that Hanley is going to grill Paxson? No way! They are buddies!

I will save the 15 minutes in my life and not listen to the anticipated crap "Tyrus is getting better, Noah needs to focus, when we get Kirk back, Ben needs to play in the system, Vinny is learning, we need to do better"

If the guy they want on the air refuses to take calls live, would you rather they just told him to go pound sand?

Let the record show . . . I'm OK with the M&H show and both of the hosts so far, but I think the Paxson interview tomorrow could be kind of a watershed moment for me. As anyone who reads this board knows, I hate Mike North with a passion, but even I have to grudgingly admit that at certain times, he was the guy who would ask the tough questions that no one else would. Now we have the new Score morning team, two guys with a lot of journalistic experience, confronting the GM of a team that he built that is going absolutely nowhere fast and I'll be curious to see how this goes. If they just kiss up to him and let him off the hook and don't follow up on his answers, well, I'll be disappointed.

I don't think Paxson's the type of guy that would resent a reporter, radio host, or fan for asking tough questions...and, except for trade/contract talk, I think he'd give as much an effort as any GM to try and give a actual answer. For that reason, it would be a bit disappointing if they lobbed a bunch of softball questions to him.

Just think your guy(I really cant stand him either) is back in only 5 short days. I think people on this board are going to have a field day with the show. I wonder if it is going to have its own secttion

According to Dan McNeil in Thursday's Sun Times, this show will "rescue local sports media from a woeful 2008." There must be some weird stuff in the water over there in NW Indiana.

There must be. I don't see how the show is going to be successful. I have a feeling some people may just watch to see how bad it is going to be
