Post subject:  Hanley on the NFL

Hanley starts off today's show with an attitude that really irritates me -- in talking about Cardinals win over the Eagles he says "I don't know if anybody really cares..."; regarding the Steelers: "Does anybody care besides dyed-in-the wool Steelers fans?", and then another "Does anybody care?" about the Super Bowl.

Yes, I care. I think a lot of people care. Both games yesterday were very entertaining. Being a big football fan and a fan of the NFL...I care.

The Super Bowl is kind of a big deal, Brian. People will likely want to talk about it...you might want to consider caring.

This is the main reason I've never warmed up to Hanley. I've rarely, if ever, heard him saying something that indicates to me he's capable of having an interesting or insightful thought. Not a bad guy, just largely devoid of personality.

Still better than North, though...
