This morning at about 8:30 the reporters notebook was a story about David Beckham and Landon Donovan. Mully was trying to tell story. Hanley kept babbling about Gordon Beckham, the singer Donovan and celebrity wives. The producers made about 30 drops about bacon. Mully got so turned around that whatever point he was trying to make was lost and made no sense.
This in a nutshell is why Mike and Mike will beat M & H's asses consistently.

It's probably because unless you really follow Major League Soccer hardcore, or really give a damn about David Beckham or his fugly-looking wife Victoria "Posh Spice", today's "Reporters' Notebook" probably turned off whatever audience "Mully & Hanley" had at that time...

I don't normally have problems with this show, but I absolutely did notice the same thing you did. It was like Hanley went nuts for five minutes and seemed to competely derail what Mulligan was trying to say about the Beckham article. A little long-weekend-coming-up craziness, or what? Weird.
