After spending an entire year taking shots every week at 'The Cubs", with that main focus being Jim Hendry, unless Stone was critical of someone else paying all that huge money and negotiating those deals, he feels Jim Hendry has done enough to retain his job???? LOL This guy spent the better part of 2 years every week telling the world how foolish the Cub are for signing and signing players, now you think the guy who signed all the players should keep his job?????? huh? Someone want a new job with the Ricketts? |

I read your post last night, but it really did not resonate until I actually heard the Stone sound bite this morning. What a double talking POS. I agree that it sounds like he is trying to curry favor....or at least not upset any apple carts because he wants to stay in good standing with "the good ol' boy" network. IMO...Hendry & Crane get the first tickets out of town. This team needs a massive change of culture starting at the top. |

Steve is a pompous know-it all and rather full of himself, but I still like to hear what he has to say. That said, I have felt the vibe that he is on-board with the White Sox until he finds a way back in with the Cubs, in some way or another. Just my opinion. |

His bullshit is old, just like he is and he can't erase the garbage he has been spitting out for the last 4 years. |

I dont like Stone due to his long-winded analysis and inability to fully clarify his points (like implying players are staying out to late but not saying who), but he is right that Hendry should not be fired. |
