I swear when Hanley asked the question to Sweatty Teddy "if' Angelo and Lvoie would get new deals if their contracts were up and Phillips responded with a "I can't answer that hypothetical question", Hanley came back with a "Sure you can"

which seems to not be on any of the tapes I have heard?

Just getting Mr. Hanley the credit he deserves for calling Phillips on being a corporate rummy.

Funny, I heard it on a playback yesterday (Hanley's jibe, that is...)

Maybe Teddy asked it to be cut out.

My recollection is that when Mac & Spiegs played that cut on their show, Mac said "Sure You Can" over it.

I don't remember hearing Hanley saying that when I heard it live....pretty sure.

I have gained a new respect for M & H, they did their best to put Teddy on the spot with tough questions. There didn't seem to be any ass kissing. This is rare with the Chicago media, tough questions are NEVER asked.

I heard him say it on the Mac replay as well. Handley may have asked because it was certainly emotional and I may have seemed disrespectful.

Either way it was the best question asked of anyone, that includes the press conference as well.

A little build up is all it needed to be one of the best questions ever asked in this city. Like the fact that Lovie was wearing the suit and it looked like he just interviewed for the job again, etc.

The build up would have made the accountant look even more foolish.

All these keeps bringing me back to the Mike Silver peice on Yahoo as he had the bears as the second worst run franchise in football.

I dont disagree, I just think Handley let emotion drip out when he blurted it out. As it was said a few times on B&B, they lost the interview. Unfortunately for Ted, he then proceeded to lose this interview too.

Bernstein brought the 'Win or Lose" the interview into play. And nothing could matter less. Win or Lose the press confercnes? who cares? isnt he the guy who says what the fans think doesnt matter? So why win or lose?

Ricketts had a good opening speech on day 1. However, not doing so well right now in his public perception. Part of that is because he doesnt say anything.

Ted , Jerry, Lovie can sound like Moe, Larry and Curly all da, I dont care, just win.

Would rather hear Ginny talk, as I am not sure if she does.
