I know the "Baseball Big Foot" has had his ass at over 10,000 games and wrote on everyone of them since Abner Doubleday threw the first pitch, but someone needs to tell the guy he is being paid to express an opinion and the answer of "I don't know" ON EVERY SINGLE QUESTION really isnt working. Nothing pisses me off more than listening to a guy who is suppossed to be somewhat of an "expert" on something and then just responds with an I DON"T KNOW. TAKE A FUCKING GUESS THEN! It's not Brain Surgery and if you are wrong, nobody dies!

When is it going to get better? "I Don't Know"
Whats wrong the with WR? "I don't know"
Can Soriano Change? "Again guys, I don't know"

I understand M&H paying some respect to a guy who has been a long time guy in thier world, but one more week of "I don't knows" and we can just bring in a bleacher babe and ask her, because it will be more interesting.

Problem is that it is brutal every week and the season just started.

Plus DVD is a "Bad Tact" guy, the type of guy that can jokingly try to break your balls and just the way he says it, it comes out like he is just an asshole.

Well then, Krazy Ivan Putz-ski may just have a copyright infringement suit to look into.

"I KNOW NOTHING! NOTHING!"  John Banner as Sgt. Schultz's classic phrase from "Hogan's Heroes"...

You must remember M and H are among the worst interviewers.Neither has a clue about a leading question. In addition they are up against commercials,D.V.D. isn;t in the studio either.I respect the answerer not the questioner but that is my opinion.

Amen.

I go back to hearing Van Dyke sit in sometimes on the old Sportswriters shows and I used to like him, but this is getting ridiculous. Between his "I don't knows" and Stone's "Well, number one, the Cubs have all those backloaded contracts," these baseball "experts" are, well, something less than expert in my opinion.

The best baseball expert they have on now is Saturday Morning, Steve Phillips!

Even Peter Gammons is well past his prime. He lies too! I think one morning they should just start asking him about every player and stop at the first one that we claims he has not spoken to or texted lately.

Agreed. Van Dyke has been bad for years. I cant understand why he's still on the payroll. Phillips may be a bit too horny but he does have a current view as opposed to ol man Van Dyke.

Van Dyke was bad today. One the one hand he said that ARam needs to get as many at bats as possible to get out of this slump, but 30 seconds later he said that Ramirez needed to sit on the bench for a while. He said that Ramirez acts like he has no idea what pitch is coming. Unless you know something I don't, no batter knows what pitch is coming. Dave also mentioned that he has no idea if a fastball is coming or something like that. Something like a fastball?

He is also really weird about the drinking thing. He talks to Mully and Hanley like they are a couple of 23 year olds that get blasted every night and just stumble in at 3 Am to do the show. He thinks it makes him sound hip I guess. He must have made 5 comments to Hanley being out because of a hangover.

I don't know if he is old school chicago reporter "Meet me at the Goat" type of guy that starts drinking at 11 AM or not, but he sure tries to seem like a hard core guy.

Yeah Phillips is good when he is on with Rosie and King. When it comes to choosing pincushions...not so much. :puker: :pukel:

Which means he probably isn't. "Hardcore guys" don't usually talk like that.
