jim the bullshitter hendry has now successfully distanced himself from his own failures, well done jim.. joe cowley took his mouth away from ozzie's balls long enough to echo hendry's lies. hendry did not want lou piniella, milton bradley or jeff samaridja , all mcdonough/tribunes fault.. hendry also wanted to trade felix pie and angel pagan and corey patterson when their stock was high, trib was not ready to give them up. mcdonough pushed hard for soriano and his 8 year deal... hendry was not on board.. |

I heard the story about Soriano when the deal got done. I heard that Hendry had a 5 year deal on the table and Jonny McDough got involved and wanted it done that night, so he approved the 2 more years. I do think that happened. Hendry then let's it out of the bag years later and feels it was a hall pass. Now it is his answer for everything else. "Sam Zell told me to do it" |

The best thing to happen to Hendry was Ricketts buying the team. As I told everyone here BEFORE he bought the team, he is strapped for cash & doesn't want to pay Hendry to not be the GM, so he gets to stick around 2 more years. |

ricketts was around the inside of the team for maybe 18 months b4 he actually closed on the deal.. ricketts is so wormy . so many bad moves have been made...if hendry was responsible for half of them he should be canned. |

Hendry is a bully who doesn't work 50 hours a week and calls radio shows on his bluetooth while also promptly and efficiently working on Cubs business......and he loves the fuck out of some good, clean, old fashioned fraud. |

You can point to any GM who has been around for some time and pick them apart. Hendry is a special case because long before he was GM,he was running the Cubs farm system into the ground. |

I have heard from 2 sources(Both with the Cubs) that Hendry listens to sports talk all day and does get pissed when they rip on him. |
