The only thing worse than hearing Maddox Boys' voice is hearing him parrot Steve Stone talking points THAT ARE NOT TRUE. The Cubs did not out bid themselves for Soriano. The Angels offered 6 years 118 million (reported by SI's Jon Heyman). Cubs then pushed it to the seven year deal. I am not saying it was a good deal, far from it. But they went the extra mile because they thought it was the final piece to a championship. They were wrong.

Today I heard a caller suggest that Dunn be sent down to the minors to work on things and to bring Viceido up. In theory thats not a terrible idea, but then Mully point out that you can't send Dunn down. The caller's retort was to "just realease him then. The only reason he is here is because he is getting paid"
