The only thing worse than hearing Maddox Boys' voice is hearing him parrot Steve Stone talking points THAT ARE NOT TRUE. The Cubs did not out bid themselves for Soriano. The Angels offered 6 years 118 million (reported by SI's Jon Heyman). Cubs then pushed it to the seven year deal. I am not saying it was a good deal, far from it. I heard a wonderous, Elmhurstian little chip of knowledge from ZZ today on this show: He does NOT (repeat, does NOT) believe that Jim Hendry is the right guy to turn the Cubs around. In other news, water seeks its own level. |

Zaidman with the observation that Jordan is the only player to combine great skills with great championship winning ablities at all levels -- except high school. Well that leaves us with just college and the pros, unless the ginger haired genius is aware of some rec league that Jordan is playing in at the moment. |

Hank I heard the same thing and then I went to our local sports station and they are talking about bringing Bill Hall back to the Brewers, I decided silence was better.

Today I heard a caller suggest that Dunn be sent down to the minors to work on things and to bring Viceido up. In theory thats not a terrible idea, but then Mully point out that you can't send Dunn down. The caller's retort was to "just realease him then. The only reason he is here is because he is getting paid" Yeah, and he got paid because he can really hit beisbol you dumbfuck. He's just not doing it now for a myriad of reasons. |
