I turn on Mully & Hanley because my son likes to listen to the COMMERCIALS. No lie.

Anyway, this morning they're talking about Jim Corneilson singing before the Bears game. Hanley read a text that stated that Corneilson is also an insurance broker. They both then broke into a very unfunny bit about Jim Corneilson singing to his clients while closing deals. Not even smirk-worthy. They were both cracking up at their own comedic efforts, however.

Public Service Announcement: Comedy is a dangerous tool in the hands of a moron. Save the heavy lifting for the pros.

Good god, I heard that as well. They thought it was so funny they couldnt stop laughing long enough to throw it to Grote for an update. I imagined cars being driven into ditches and off bridges just to escape that little bit of radio.

It was so dreadful, it's hard to describe. Whatever anyone wants to say about dan and Terry, at least they are funny.

Indeed.

Just be entertaining. That's all I ask. M&H may be the least entertining sports talk show in town...

Heard that then switched to Mike squared, nice to hear a debate where one doesn't scream over the other; fixed or not, I don't give a fuck, just don't annoy me

Just because I hate all the participants, doesn't mean I can't like the show. It's sort of like Seinfeld. Every character was pretty unlikable, but the show was great.

See, that's the ironic thing about it though. Like I've pointed out to you before, in some of your posts here you share a lot of the same characteristics that you criticize Bernstein for having. I have no doubt that if you were a part of that show, you'd hate yourself.

Hanley opened with a joke this morning.

I dont remember what it was but i just remember shaking my head and thinking "Right off the bat..."

Really Kid? I thought it was hilarious! I mean, just imagine the premise! You go to look at a new place, and a guy comes out wearing a tux and sings to you! Its hee-larious! In fact, I bet this idea is being used for a new Adam Sandler movie.

Exactly Frank.

Their humor is really 3rd grade level. It's very Beavis & Butthead-like.

The Corneilson-as-the-singing-insurance-man premise wasn't even funny to begin with, minus the jokes they piled onto it.

Agree with everyone's thoughts here. I heard it too this morning. I'm shocked Big Fan hasn't reponded yet with the M&H apologist post.... "These guys are ok, just keep listening!"

Did you read that greatness last week?

And more this week!

You gents need to lower your expectations. The show has it's moments. It's fine.

For a man who hates most things, how is it you can tolerate this mediocrity?

I tend to agree with that, as well. Hanley is awkward.

I actually liked the genesis of the bit. But like all things with this show, it went to hell when Hanley joined in, and then went way too long.
